This is funny, 80 more paper Ballots at Colorado Republican state assembly then delegates

Scott Bottoms wins top spot on Colorado GOP primary ballot for governor |The Colorado Sun

"The release of the official results was delayed by the discovery that about 80 more people had cast paper ballots than were credentialed to do so. “We don’t believe there has been any fraud,” said Al Gage, the state Republican Party’s parliamentarian, who said the party had three options: accept the overvotes, adjourn until another day or wait to see if the 80 votes made a difference in any of the races and then decide how to proceed."

What did they do? They took the easy way out and included the 80 overvotes to decide the candidates.  So funny.

"Through a voice vote, the delegates decided to accept the overvotes."

Dang, MAGA can't even run a state assembly election, and now they want to run all the elections in the country?!?!?!

Since nowhere near the total number of people who are qualified/credentialed to vote in any given election actually do vote, these 80 "extra" votes actually show fraud on a much larger scale. No way that 101% of eligible voters cast ballots.

Damn those cheating Republicans!

It isn't the type of election you're thinking of. This was at a party convention. Party members were voting for who gets top billing on the ballot for the primary election.

The people that were "credentialed" to vote are people like PCOs and other party officials that are qualified to vote and showed up. There are also people that show up to observe and participate in other activities but are not qualified to vote.

My guess is either some people that didn't qualify to vote got a ballot and voted anyway and/or people that were qualified to vote didn't stop at the "credentials booth" on the way in. Probably mostly the later.

A lot of times they will have an envelope containing a ballot and other information for each qualified voter. You get your envelope from your district president.

Oh, OK, so the party determined who they wanted to win the election and printed up a bunch of filled-out ballots ahead of time, then added as many of those ballots to the genuine ones to ensure the result they wanted.

After all, when you submit to the whims of fate and just let the ballots be counted, sometimes you lose and/or don't get the result you want. The party couldn't have that. Republicans are so practical!

My guess is it was mostly caused by legitimate delegates not stopping at the credentialing booth for a paper badge on the way in.

Once inside they get their ballot packet from the district chairman that doesn't ask for the badge because they know them  and know they are a delegate.

I would speculate that the number of ballots did not exceed the number of qualified voters present and that is why it was not challenged.

I wonder why they were going through this sham democratic process anyway. The sole determinant of the winning candidate will be what Trump wants. One phone call and $500,000 in campaign funds wired direct to Mar A Lago would have obviated the need for this silly voting stuff which, let's face it, MAGA despises.

You have not the slightest clue of where I am or what I'm doing, yet, you're always claiming to know. My third graders aren't that stupid.

Stupid Tom. You are indeed an asshole.

And a moron.

Isn't spring break right now? It is for a lot of schools in Washington anyway.

Stupid Tom is utterly obsessed with my teaching employment, which is really kind of creepy.

Whenever he knows he's losing an argument, he weasels away and makes some crack about what he thinks I should or shouldn't be doing. It's a sure sign that even he realizes that his points are weak and flaccid.

Not that it's his or anyone else's business, but we get frequent breaks, and I only work 2-3:days a week, so I have plenty of time to participate here. Tom fundamentally doesn't understand that, because he's never held a job in his life.
