What an insincere grade school level argument. Sure everyone wants less murder but if that is why Trump is doing a Federal takeover of DC why isn't he addressing the cities with the greatest need first?

DC is number 19 in murders per-100k and several cities in red states like St. Louis, Memphis, Cleveland, New Orleans,  Cincinnati and so on have higher murder rates.

So for your argument to be true, it would also have to be true that Trump simply cares more about the citizens in DC than he does about the citizens in 18 other cities the majority of which are located in red states.

Of course even a grade schooler knows the answers.  It is because reducing crime isn't what the Federal takeover is about. Wait and see by the time the midterms roll around I bet 10 or more large blue cities are occupied by Federal Troops.

First, your linked story is only using 4 months of data for 2025.  If you look at DC over the last couple of years, it's ranked at least #4.  Nothing to be proud of.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe it's a lot easier for the President of the United States to deal with violent crime-ridden DC because Home Rule gives him Presidential Authority to do so in Emergencies?    He can't just sign an order, making the Attorney General in charge of any police department in the US.  Just in DC.
