Time to get it over with

I respect your knowledge on the issues and your honest appraisal on what's happening in the house.  I hope you are correct.  If we lose the house this country is screwed.

To address the Hillary loss.  I heard the following phrase literally in real time by real people dozens of times: " I don't like Trump but I cannot vote for Hillary".  In my humble opinion, she was carrying a lot of baggage, Benghazi, e-mail server, calling Trump supporters deployables and she was going to put a lot of coal miners out of work.  To quote Michael Moore, "Why couldn't we have nominated someone who was likable, Like Barbara Striesand or Tom Hanks".

Donald Trump had a plethora of character flaws.  Democrats were given a gift when he won the nomination. He was unelectable.

According to NPR "She was the annointed one", Debbie Wasserman Shultz put her finger on the scales to help beat Bernie out of the nomination.  She Lost the elction.

"She was the annointed one",  That is why I don't like the assumption that Joe Biden is the anointed one or the only one that can beat Trump. It seems to me that a lot of Democrats are in the same rush to anoint someone rather than let it play out so we can bring the best candidate forward.  I think candidates need to be battle-tested.  Trump isn't going to handle the Democratic nominee with kid gloves.

We learned today that Republicans are going to go all-in on Trump's Ukraine conspiracy theory and begin investigating Biden like they did Hillary over Benghazi. The point being whichever candidate is chosen by the Democrats is going to have baggage by the time the election gets here. Republicans will lie, cheat, and steal to make sure that is the case.

I expect the baggage to get really deep this election because Republicans are going to have to generate a lot of it to try and make someone look worse than Trump.  Republicans no longer have the numbers to win nationwide elections on the merits and they know generating baggage is the only way they can win.  That is what Trump was caught trying to do in Ukraine. This is why I discount the baggage argument because giving it a lot of weight means you are playing by Republican rules.

And with Mayor Pete, some aren't going to like this, but images and videos of him and his husband together need to be put out there now just like they do with other candidates' families.  We need to see how the public is going to react to it because I can guarantee you Republicans will put those types of images in their campaign commercials. He is an easy target because they don't have to condemn his lifestyle. They just have to show images of him living it to get the desired effect.

Hillary carried way too much baggage for middle America. Whether right or wrong that was just the way it was. Way to many states she did not even visit in the rust belt and guess what got her beat? Yep the rust belt. Her honesty was a huge concern, she just seemed like another New York know it all. Bill mentioned to her and her staff that they were not campaigning near enough in rust belt states, he was so right.

Hillary made mistakes. I don't deny that, but the baggage was largly the result Republican smear campaigns.  How can honesty be a conern with people that voted for Donald Trump?  Hell, he told 18 lies in a 53 minute phone interview on Fox and Friends today.  Source

I think Hillary lost, plain and simple, because she's a woman. An identical male candidate would have crushed Trump. Middle America, being, well, kind of dense collectively, was willing to vote for the con man because he promised them lotsa great jobs and free beer. The reality of Middle America is that many of the jobs there are obsolescing because of new technology. Hillary could have, and should have, come out and said that times would be tough but that she had plans to ease the transition for them. The detailed plan was on her website. Nobody read it. In the absence of practical solutions offered them, Clem Cornpone and Tucky Buckford went for the con man.

I think Hillary made the mistake of thinking that these down-to-earth Midwesterners wouldn't buy Trump's scam. She overestimated their collective intelligence. It's like the snake oil salesman in the traveling show. Most people know instinctively that he's a fraud--and then they buy half a dozen bottles anyway.

In any event, she's out of the picture, and the lesson the Democrats can learn from 2016 is that Trump and the Republicans will trot out all sorts of irrelevant crap and conduct a smear campaign, backed by lots of juicy alt-right conspiracy theories, whoever the candidate ultimately is. There will be virtually no cogent discussion of the issues--Trump will avoid that, because he knows that he can't compete there. Hell, Hillary had a 134-page document available on her website that stated her positions and plans regarding every major issue--and what everybody wound up discussing instead was that she (gasp!) SENT EMAILS.

Gasp- another load of bullshit from Kevin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here is how his idiotic rant SHOULD have read ---In any event, she's out of the picture, and the lesson the Republicans can learn from 2016 is that Pelosi, Schiff and the DemocRats will trot out all sorts of irrelevant crap and conduct a smear campaign, backed by lots of juicy alt-left conspiracy theories, whoever the candidate ultimately is. There will be virtually no cogent discussion of the issues--Pelosi and Schiff will avoid that, because they know that they can't compete there.

Altering another person's post is really, really weak, limp-dick. I quote people directly, even asswipes like you--but you are too slimy to even do that. Write your own posts, don't plagiarize mine.

I gave you credit, therefore - I did not plagiarize.

Given that most of your "corrected" post used the exact same words as my original post--you did indeed plagiarize it. Regardless of that, copying and altering someone else's post is a chickenshit, petty little tactic. Can't you even speak for yourself any more?

I do understand your urge to use my much better spoken words to make your idiotic points instead of relying on your own linguistic resources, which are feeble indeed. I would in fact normally lend a crutch to a crippled man. But you--I would prefer that you go back to screaming MAGAMAGAMAGA rather than stealing from my posts.

It is kind of pathetic that all you can do is post stupid cartoons, call everyone liars, and plagiarize and misquote other people's posts. That's all you've got? As Trumpie-poo would say, "SAD!"

You better read the definition of "plagiarize" - as usual, you are wrong. But that is your norm. You will say anything, and you do often, to try and make your idiotic reasoning creditable. As long as you persist in posting lies I will correct your crap and make it truthful.
