Today is the highest heat content in the Gulf on record

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

DeSantis says global warming doesn't exist and has even forbidden it be spoken of in Florida. I think we should keep that in mind when he asks for money.

And we have the Turd running around telling everybody who will listen that FEMA won't compensate people who suffer damage to their property. I therefore advocate for no Trump voters to be given FEMA funds.

I certainly expect all those ideological opponents of BIG GUMMINT to refuse when offered aid.

CO2 is .04% of our atmosphere.  At .02% the earth cannot support plant life.  It's gone up from .03% in 100 years.

Also this quote "Earth is in the Quaternary Ice Age, which began about 2.5 million years ago and continues today. However, we are currently in an interglacial period, which is a warmer period within an ice age when glaciers have retreated closer to the poles"

We are also still in one of the coldest periods in the last 500,000,000 years.

Go ahead, rip on me, I'm stating facts, not a position.  Does this hurt your feels?  Trust 'the science'.

And there are many scientists who would disagree. But let's not play a battle of quotes.

Aaron how do you decide which scientists are right and which ones are wrong? I'm pretty much 100% sure that you do it based on which ones you really really want to agree with.

Prove me wrong.

How much is human activity causing global warming?  is it 1%, 5%, 50%?  Nobody knows

Aaron how do you decide which scientists are right and which ones are wrong

Thus the problem.  People are looking to spend trillions of dollars, upend the global economy & 100% change the way we generate power for a problem nobody knows what causes it.

All the forecasts about te end of the world by the greenies have never come to pass; thus the skepticism

"All the forecasts about te end of the world by the greenies have never come to pass"

From recognized research and academic organizations? Name one.

I don't agree with you but assuming I did and it isn't man-made shouldn't we be spending money on hurricane abatement?

It makes no sense for the taxpayers to subsdize wealthy people's beach homes by giving them subsdized flood insurance and then rebuilding those homes over and over again.

And generating electricity in different ways doesn't just deal with global warming we get cleaner air and water too.

The intermittent / green power sources such as wind and solar will be used by the plebes with capacity limited as needed when there are rolling blackouts from not enough generation during times without wind or at night and no viable battery technology.

However, AI Data Centers will get all the power they need.  The 'ruling elite' need these to run CDBCs and AI to manage you, so they will use small sodium nuclear plants and call it 'green'.  See TerraPower, Bill Gates.

Note the new switch from intermittent power to nuclear over the last year.  Just for AI.  What about the earth and the previous message that nuclear is dirty?  Doesn't matter, AI is what those in power want and they will get it.

Sources:

The Biden administration wants to "accelerate" its conversations with big technology companies on how to generate more electricity — including with nuclear power — to meet their massive demand for artificial intelligence computing.

Department of Energy Secretary Granholm said the United States needs 98 more reactors with the capacity of units 3 and 4 at Plant Vogtle to produce electricity while reducing climate-changing carbon emissions.

These (AI) data centers have the capacity to consume a combined 508 terawatt hours of electricity per year if they were to run constantly. That's greater than the total annual electricity production for Italy or Australia.

It's a mathematical certainty that climate change is human-caused. Global temperatures have risen fifty years in a row.

Tell ya what, Aaron, drop on by and we'll flip a coin, call it right you get a buck, call it wrong I get a buck. When I win fifty times in a row, by your logic, it's just bad luck and nothing is influencing the coin
