What other nation in the world allows birth right citizenship? America was built on people coming to America and going thru the citizenship process to become a citizen. People who are not citizens should not be allowed to come to America, have a child here and for the child to be deemed a citizen just because the child was born here ofrom non citizens parents. These "anchor babies" have been used to circumnavigate the citizenship  process for the non citizen parents. No other nation in the world allows/does this.

Nobody works harder in this country than immigrants.   We need more people like them that work and less deadbeat losers like you.

Regardless - its in the Constitution and its not the least bit nebulous.  So White Nationalist goose steppers just have to deal with it.

According to this report published in the Library of Congress almost every country in North and South America currently has near unconditional birthright citizenship.

Birth right citizenship was the practice in the United States since the founding. It predates the 14th amendment.

That's a stupid lie. Most nations DO have birthright citizenship, including almost every country in the Americas. You're full of shit, Miller.

Patsy if you really wonder why then you should listen to the supreme court arguements, not voices on a gambling forum

Race hatred is a MAGA core value, and let's not forget that it's been a central part of Trump's "message" and popularity. That's the beginning and end of this issue.

First of all, I don't think anything will happen.  It will be thrown back to congress.  2nd  from what I heard changes would be forward looking and not affect past births. Part of the concern was birth tourism, where couples from China for example come to the US and have a baby, and go back to China and raise that baby as Chinese.  Then at 18 that child is able to vote in our elections.  That could be a very large voting block, but maybe strenthening our election laws could twart that kind of outside interference.  It would be interesting to know the number of US citizens that live outside of the US

Would be interesting to see how widespread this actually is.  This is a pretty long, thought out process for parents to do this.  Why not just set up residency and apply for citizenship.....would be a lot shorter process.

Why not use social media to influence the election so the dumbest candidate wins? Seems to work and it's quick and easy. No need to wait 18 years to influence an election, one vote at a time.

Very true Edso.  But residency was not the goal.  It was not refuted that there were over 500  companies in China alone that specialized in this birth tourism.  So the question then becomes if the couple are hoping for a better life for their child that they cannot have , or is the Chinese , or Russian governments  pulling the strings for another purpose.  Again this is just one of the arguements that I found interesting, and I didn;t watch the whole thing..  I am going to search for how many US citizens live outside of the US for fun.
