A tool for calculating when you will be able to get the vaccine

This is a pretty cool tool. It estimates where you are in line for receiving the vaccine, based on whether you are a first-responder or similar, your age, and whether you have pre-existing conditions.

It looks like I'll be getting mine in January, but maybe sooner, because I'm assuming there are lots of Americans who are too stupid to get in line.

Imagine how much sooner we all could get it if Trumpers, who support the man whose inaction, lies, and procrastination have killed 150,000 people (the estimate of the difference between our actual death toll and what it could have been), were barred from getting it.

I would also support no-maskers and people who have gathered in large groups being disqualified.

The only problem with that, of course, is that they'll all still be walking among us, breathing and potentially infecting everyone. So the ultimate solution is to stop Trumpers from breathing. This could be accomplished by Trump telling his base to hold their breath until the courts hand him victory.

People who previously received the standard flu shots should be prioritized.

Why? Because they were smart enough to follow scientific consensus and they were thoughtful enough to want to create herd immunity for their fellow human beings.

Sorry PJ.

Ditto that, with the exception of giving it to the front line healthcare workers.  And in that regard, truly front line working staff (nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, housekeeping, EMS workers, etc), not those with no patient contact but have a license.  If, for instance, they use the state nursing board database, there will be thousands licensed but either not practicing or not in a job with patient patient contact.

We who complied year after year with recommended vaccines, e.g. flu, shingles, pneumonia, tetanus, should be given consideration.  But doubtful that will happen.

Well, using that metric, we shouldn't give the vaccine to people whose underlying conditions are a result of their poor lifestyle choices---like someone who weighs 350 pounds and smokes. (This may seem social Darwinist, but a similar approach has been discussed in providing universal health care---prioritize access for people who pay more attention to their own health.)

I'm reasonably sure that if a healthcare worker spends all day in an office and not treating or contacting patients, that person would refuse to be prioritized. That wouldn't even be an issue if healthcare workers were classified by their degree and frequency of their exposure to potentially infectious patients.

In Washington state, there was a group of 300 young Republicans who held some kind of idiot gathering. They were originally going to have Sarah Palin speak but she chickened out. They posted videos flaunting their masklessness and taunting Governor Inslee. Also in WA, in Chehalis (a small town halfway between Seattle and Portland), a restaurant has stayed wide open in direct defiance of the governor's orders---they even posted that on social media---and now, idiot Republicans are traveling up to two hours just to eat there. The place is jammed.

Should any of those people get a vaccine? Ever?

I wish they would develope a vaccine for ignorant, lying liberals. Kevin would be at the top of the list to be the first one innoculated.

Also, people who volunteered for the clinical trials should be prioritized - that is, those who received the placebo.

Two misspellings in two sentences. Who's the ignorant one?
