I panicked Tuesday when our usual place ($2.14) was suddenly $2.24. Only got 5 gallons, figuring it will go down after the holiday. It has. Shell has it at $2.17, another place $2.12.
Gas prices usually take a few days to go up when it's in response to an event, as retailers don't buy gas on a daily basis. You'll see the bigly price increases due to the actions of our stable genius-in-chief over the next several weeks.
The magnitude of those increases depends on the extent and scope of Iran's retaliation and the degree to which it affects the world's oil supply. All you Trumpers, be sure to thank the Orange One for setting fire to your money. I certainly expect the Republican "party of fiscal responsibility" to squeal in approval. Not to mention our Trumpers (who usually aren't, in fact, worth mentioning).
Why should any country in the world trust the United States ever again? The Orange Asshole breaks treaties, reneges on trade agreements, dishonors alliances, and antagonizes allies. The world has come to loathe us--not so much because of Trump, but because we elected him and millions of scumwads continue to support him.
Once again, Liberals can't see past the end of their long noses. One should note that the Las Vegas Libs recently voiced sudden concern for American farmers.........a group of hicks that our Libs have historically looked down upon. Next week Trump signs a deal which will increase ag sales to China about $20 billion. Successful negotiations take time is the moral of the story.
It's kind of idiotic to cheer Trump for partially rebuilding something that he destroyed. Trump fucked American farmers and now he's offering them a cigarette. "Increasing ag sales" by $20 billion isn't anything to crow about when last year, Trump's tariffs DECREASED them by $100 billion, when China naturally retailiated.
Trump doesn't "negotiate." He bullies and threatens. China didn't cave to his demands, and he had a tantrum. You had better believe that China remembers how he treated them. That will have consequences.

Well, it won't hurt our Trumpers much, because they've been lubed up and on all fours since November 2016.
Stock market futures took a dive today, which means the market will open with a crash tomorrow. I wonder if Trump will take full credit for that, the way he's taken bigly credit for the market going up? Fair is fair--if he magically made it go up, it's also his fault when it goes down!
Our Trumpers will keep cheering--that's a given. But other, more rational people, including those who might have voted for Trump, are taking a good long look at Trump's actions. If we're in a war and the economy has cratered in November, Trump will lose the election.
And that might make all the higher gas prices worth it.
