The David's Daily Whine Forum? Not a day passes by without that, usually multiple times. But you and he are MAGA buddies, so maybe you approve...

To quote an old and dead Republican's phrase.." There you go again..". You unknowingly just supported my originally intended point. lol. Whatever blows your dress up just tickles me to death. That MAGA label is beyond worn out, though. I'll remit six bits if you'll switch to another adjective/ acronym that would quench your thirst for conflict..like..MAGGOT. At least that would be fresh / atypical. Hell, start a thread on "acronyms for MAGA". Buncha girls...lol.

So you don't consider yourself MAGA? Tell us your true opinion of Noble Dear Leader Trump. Don't hold back!
Oh, and I have used alternate acronyms in the past, like MAGOO (Money Always Given (to the) Orange Orangutan) and even the unwieldy MPAWFT (My Panties are Always Wet For Trump). Would you like to be referred to with one of those instead? I'm nothing if not flexible!

I've always agreed with some of his official ideological policies and there's several personal issues and a few policy stances I disagree with. The policies where he aligned with old-school conservative dogma / principles I agree with because I've been of that ilk my entire life ( no apolgies). The lowered credibility, self-aggrandizement, perpetual chest beating, camera-op practices, and verbal bullying and threatening of any / all opponents all serve to build a fence around him from my perspective ( beyond policy). I disagree with his stance on some immigration issues ( eg the birthright citizenship issue currently before SCOTUS). There are red flags regarding some tenets of integrity, too. So, you can label me 'semi-Maga' depending on how you define MAGAism. But we need a fresh label as that one is worn, tattered, obsolete, and boring, imo.
I'm certainly more aligned with David Miller in terms of conservative policy stances here in the Sink than I am with you or any of your liberal friends here. That should be a tolerable approach for all sides and I think I can usually discuss issues with any of your side members. I don't agree with how he nor you present respective arguments, though. Seldom are these arguments productive nor conducive toward a solution and often morph jnto personal pissing contests with onslaughts of personal attacks. So you two just stay stuck axle-deep in that same old mudhole day after day. That's as boring as the MAGA label for me. Again that old axiom applies here..'It's not what you say it's how you say it".
It's OK to disagree and allow the other side to disagree; it ain't OK imo to call someone an asshole ( and/or related labels) every 5 minutes. But far be it from me to abridge free speech tenets. Go ahead on.

Any of those would be OK for a day or two if we can dump the MAGA label; any of those would almost make my putter stand on end. Know what I mean?

I appreciate your honest answer.
IMHO, conservatism is foolish and contradicts the human condition, which is comprised of evolution, change, and growth. Conservatism serves (and often panders to) the fear that change generates in many people. That, I feel, is why it's as popular as it is. People long for (AND romanticize) the "good old days." You know, when the womenfolk and the darkies knew their place, everybody could smoke in restaurants, etc. And I certainly acknowledge that not all change is beneficial. So I completely understand the societal pathology that is conservatism, and I in fact DO respect old-style conservatives.
But you and I can agree, I expect, that MAGA is conservatism in a funhouse mirror. It seems that we partially agree on the horrible nature and awful character of Mein Trumpf, though you've apparently been fooled by his jumping on the Republican oxcart. In reality, he's been middle of the road politically all his life (albeit a pathological fraud, cheat, liar, and thief). He decided to ally himself with the party that had more people who would be susceptible to his charms (i.e. , stupid).
If he were a Democrat, I would still reject him utterly, because he's a) evil b) stupid c) a complete jerkass. A LOT of people label my opposition to him as ideological/political. That's easy, lazy, and false. I loathe him because of his character.
Similarly, I loathe Miller, Boilerman, and Tom not because of their political stance but because they're yes, assholes. I also don't respect the childish, crippled way they argue and above all--their rank hypocrisy.
So I'm fine with referring to you in some other way. Your impassioned and repeated defense of Trump's statements and actions suggests that you're in the Miller camp, and you just said as much.
But do you realize that he's about as conservative as a slice of burnt toast? That his slobbering Trump-love is nothing but a facade he's constructed in order to start, escalate, and facilitate arguments?
