Obama is a far, far better man than you will ever come close to being.

Both of the photos lack anything about context, and I can easily discern the reasons why Obama wasn't saluting. That would be beyond the comprehension of you or the asshole that cooked up this crap. and no, I won't explain it to you. Figure it out on your own.

And just so you know---not saluting isn't treason.

Thought I'd shed some more light on this latest David Miller bullcrap. The bottom photo was taken on Memorial Day, 2009. Obama had just taken the stage, and the band was playing "Hail to the Chief." So naturally, he wasn't saluting himself! The standard protocol is that the President does NOT return the salute while the song is playing. Immediately afterward, he stood with his hand over his heart while the National Anthem was playing, while the members of the military saluted the flag--again, standard protocol. Civilians are not expected to salute the flag.

Furthermore, NO civilian, including the President, is required to return ANY salute.

And just so you know--in 2017, at the White House Easter Egg Roll, the national anthem was played--and Trump didn't place his hand over his heart and had to be reminded by Melania to do so. Filthy traitor!

The top photo -where is your lying excuse?

The first modern president to begin saluting was Ronald Reagan. It was probably one of his showbiz sensibilities that served him so well. But prior to that even President Eisenhower, a real (retired) general, never saluted while he was in office. Neither did war hero presidents like Theodore Roosevelt or John Kennedy.

If you think about it, having members of the military salute the president is nonsensical. You salute the uniform, not the man, and the president is not wearing one. Also here in America, we like to keep a wide gap between civilian and military authority. We don't want any generalissimos in charge.

Of course Trump salutes, but it just doesn't look right to me. Such tiny hands.
