Trump is, incredibly, trying to paint the current economic picture as rosy. I guess that's true as long as you ignore the 25% unemployment. The fat cats hiding in their McMansions aren't being inconvenienced much.
The "open up" movement urged onward by Trump is ensuring that all efforts to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus will be for nothing. I live in a dumb section of an otherwise smart state. This county is rabid, dead-red Trump. And nobody is wearing a mask except me. Nobody. I go to the grocery store, I have to play dodgeball as no one maintains social distancing.
I'm sure George Floyd is looking down and smiling as Trump self-immolates.

Whatever the actual number is, tens of millions of people are out of work because of the Trump virus, and that's not a positive economic picture.
