Another Republican just announced the details of his "free shit" plan.
Hawley is one of several senators who have rolled out plans in recent days that would inject new funds directly for Americans.
Under his plan, individuals would get a “refundable monthly benefit” that would last for the duration of the coronavirus outbreak.
The level of funding would work on a sliding scale, with families of three getting $1,446 and families of five getting $2,206.

Free shit that keeps people alive isn't worth it. The tenets of social Boilerism, er, Darwinism state that those who aren't "prepared for life," as in, don't have enough money stashed away to survive several weeks of unemployment, should be allowed to die. And their kids, too! You don't want the little nippers to grow up, they'll be just like their parents. Let 'em all starve. It's the American way!

If the Government just gives everyone free money, it will result in higher prices; massive quantities of "free" money would lead to massive inflation.
But it's the perception of " 'other people' getting something for nothing" that'd lead to significant problems - economic and, especially, social.
