Trump announces 3rd bid for White House

He announced tonight he will run.  His base will stick with him and the normal republicans will be put between a hard place and a rock.  I'm interested how the conservatives on this forum feel?  Happy or sad?

McConnell refused to impeach him after Jan 6th which would have prevented his candidacy.    He thought that was politically the smart move.  Now Trump will burn down the GOP in his second bid for office.

You can bet Mitch is hoping and praying Trump is indicted by the Feds or Georgia.

I'm so happy...

This is what the pundits are saying,  his running again is to blunt the legal challenges he's facing.  I'd like to hear what David, Boiler, Tom and the other conservatives thoughts on Trump's running.

I thought the announcement was very low energy.

If that were true, then every criminal would announce a presidential run.

Maybe in his half-baked delusional mind, but the reality is that being a presidential candidate doesn't insulate you at all from criminal or civil actions.

Somebody should ask him, though (as well as our resident Trump-licking conservitards!): If you actually won the 2020 election, doesn't that make you ineligible for a third term??

It was certainly low intellect.

Correct.

He hasn't secured the nomination yet, right?  Are there any viable contenders?

(Not responding conservative or liberal, just a serious question.)
