Trump Blocks Funding For COVID-19 Testing And Contact Tracing

7 months later we still don't have adequate testing or any contact tracing to speak of and Trump wants to keep it that way. The man is a disgrace.  Anybody that supports him at this point lacks even the faintest sliver of humanity.

“The Trump administration is trying to block billions of dollars for states to conduct testing and contact tracing in the upcoming coronavirus relief bill,” The Washington Post reported Saturday, citing, “people involved in the talks.”

“The administration is also trying to block billions of dollars that GOP senators want to allocate for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and billions more for the Pentagon and State Department to address the pandemic at home and abroad,” the sources explained to the newspaper.

How many people does Trump have to condemn to death or permanent disability before the Trump supporters here break with him?

We also know from Trump's words and actions over the last several months that he does NOT want widespread testing to be available.

The larger issue right now is the second relief bill as a whole. Republican senators have been blocking it, but they're starting to realize how disastrous that could be for them politically. There's a pretty tight deadline for the extended unemployment benefits package--existing benefits will expire eight days from now (per the existing rules, the last week of July won't count for the extended benefits). So I expect the Senate to pass some modified version of the bill next week, and if Trump doesn't sign it, he might as well take a plane to Moscow then and there.

But Ivanka won't need to worry; she'll still have her bean business.

Second relief bill is full of DemocRatic pork - that is why there is a hold up. Meanwhile you a-holes keep  making crap up without any decisions to have been made. The DemocRats held up the passage of the first bill and none of you morons said a word. You are two- faced hypocrites.
