Trump cognitive decline is alarming!!

"Donald Trump’s cognitive health is once again under scrutiny after a series of jaw-dropping gaffes on the world stage.

During a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Turkey, Trump repeatedly referred to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin”; mixed up the Islamic Republic of Iran with the “Islamic Republic of Japan”; and confused the name of Obama’s “JCPOA” nuclear deal with another acronym, the “JCPOC.”

Japan?!?!?!!

His handlers can't control his loss of cognitive ability. Biden's handlers did a better job of shielding him from being exposed. MAGA needs to step up and get better handlers!!!!!

Trump is at the age (same as me) where energy and mental acuity become compromised when stressed physically and/or mentally.  He appears beyond tired. He won't admit it, but I'd guess that he is starting to accept that he has bitten off more than he can chew.

I've forgotten...is there a minimum age to run for President?  Is there a maximum to run, or to serve?  Just curious.

You have to be 35 to be President, but you can run if you're younger as long as if elected, you would be 35 by Inauguration Day. There is no Constitutionally stated maximum age. The 25th Amendment was supposed to take care of situations like this. But a removal from office of a sitting President would have to be done by his Cabinet--and whoever crafted the 25th never dreamed that a President's Cabinet would be so full of servile lackeys that they would never consider removing an obviously dysfunctional President.

Trump did it right, if that was his goal, to be unremovable: all of his Cabinet lackeys met and needed to meet only one criterion: absolute loyalty to him. All of them are completely incompetent, but to Trump, that doesn't matter one bit. All that matters is that they'll never waver in their support for him, no matter how much he deteriorates, no matter what idiotic, evil things he does.

As far as whether he's being realistic about his condition and situation: no effin' way. Remember, he's a pathological narcissist. He's telling himself that he's still absolute perfection personified and cannot make a mistake. Anyone who tells him otherwise is obviously lying (not that anyone in his inner circle ever does or ever will). And there are no checks on his power, given that all the other branches of our government are MAGA.

I personally hope that if he doesn't simply die (O happy day!), his cognition will deteriorate to the point where all he can do is stare into space and drool, and some aide will hide him from the public and basically run the government the way Edith Wilson did.

I agree Candy, he looks extremely tired. Advanced age, stress and lack of sleep can seriously dull your mental acuity.   Saw it with Biden and see it now with Trump.

The awful difference, though, is that the effect on Biden was to make him less decisive, but the effect on Trump seems to be that whatever check or filter was in his brain, whatever judgment or reservations he had, that's gone. He's now completely out of control. And of course, his lackeys aren't going to tamp him down, like they did during his first Turd reign. Expect some really looney tunes stuff from the Turd in the coming days.

His inherent evil, stupidity, and mental sickness aside, I don't think anyone his age has the physical and mental stamina to do the toughest job in the world. He's no longer even remotely capable. But his gang will prop him up until he's dead, and maybe after that.

You could take all of the malaprops President Trump has made and they would not equal the number of  totally inane utterances made by brain dead Biden in just one day.

Biden had a circle of competent advisors who were experts in their respective fields and largely made decisions....which is how almost every president has operated in history.     Trump is surrounded by a bunch of sycophant know-nothings who wouldnt dare challenge him on any crackpot idea he comes up with.

Thats why we have the Iran War, universal tariffs, fights with Canada, Epstein drama, and his tunnel vision focus on redecorating DC with his image instead of addressing the economy.

If you're waiting on Rubio to bring some sense to Trump's  new insane fight with Spain you'll die of old age.

I don't really care what Trump says. I care about what he does. And as PJ points out, he's done a bunch of really, really stupid things lately.

Of course, you still say that Noble Dear Leader Trump is perfect, never makes a mistake, and everything he does is wise and noble and just and the bigliest wonderfulest policy in the history of AMURRICA.

I'll bet your panties got really wet when he restarted the Turd War!!
