Trump Confirms US strikes in Venezuela, says President Nicolas Maduro Has Been 'Captured'

So would MAGA be happy with Maduro or some other leader issuing letters of marque against Trump and capturing Air Force One as soon as it left US territory?

As I understand it, US presidents can't issue such letters unilaterally, so once again, Congressional approval would be needed.

Of course, Turdiffs required Congressional approval as well, but Trump ignored that requirement. He obviously thinks that the Constitution is just toilet tissue.

Yes, as I said in my post Congress may issue letters of marque. It was not my intention to imply that the president could do so unilaterally.

So it's Constitutional when a Democrat bombs and kills people in a foreign country while not at war, yet it's unconstitutional when Trump does the same.  Thanks for clarifying.  Trump is putting an end to Venezuela killing our people.

No one ever said it was constitutional for ANY president to do that. You just can't control your childish habit of making straw man arguments.

The US does not recognize the fraudelently elected maduro, so it is not a war/invasion but an extradition of a drug lord based on an indictment

No.   Trump has announced the US will be occupying and running the government of Venezuela until things get set straight.  That's not a law enforcement activity.        Where have we heard that before?    How many trillions will this Republican chicken hawk endeavor cost US taxpayers?  Or will the oil revenues pay for it?    I think we heard that before too.

Just a few months ago our resident MAGA hawks were bragging about cutting spending.    Now we get to play Naploleon so Donald can try to get his wrinkled dick into one final erection.    And it's coming out of our pocket.   We get to rebuild Venezuela.   I guess that's better than paying for healthcare premiums back home.

Where is the "violation" you speak of in the Constitution?

The Constitution For The United States is the document creating the Federal Government.

Article 1 lays out the powers of the legislative branch. Section 8 thereof grants Congress the power to declare war or conclude peace.

Article 2 lays out the power of the executive branch. I can't find anything in there that would allow these actions. Can you?

The 10th amendment basically says that the federal government can only do what the Constitution says they can do. If the Constitution does not grant the federal government a power, then the federal government does not have that power.

Trump is stopping Americans from dying and Liberals whine.  Why am I not surprised?  Finally we have a president who is doing what it takes to win.

As I said. It was unconstitutional and wrong when Obama did it. It was unconstitutional and wrong when Clinton did it. Almost every armed conflict post WWII has been unconstitutional.

Most of the drugs coming out of Venezuela don't even come to the US. They to go to Europe.

I really don't understand why so many people justify wrong by pointing to someone else that did it first. We all learned in kindergarten that two wrongs don't make a right.

And they probably complained like hell when Clinton and Obama did it......but Trump is a hero.   Hypocricy at it's finest.   Sad, but true.

Hilarious that liberals are playing the constitutional card after Covid, yeah, gfy!

You don't have to be a liberal to object to Trump's illegal, unlawful, and unconstitutional war crimes. Even you MAGA fuckheads should object.

But by all means, put on your tinfoil hat and report to the White House to join Trump's invasion force. If you include any experience raping teenage girls on your resume, you might get to start as an officer.

We didn't all learn that, evidently. MAGA droolingly approves of Trump doing the same things they've bitched and moaned and whined about other presidents doing. Hypocrisy is their middle name.

I strongly suspect that our resident MAGA fucktards know and secretly agree with the concept that Trump's actions are illegal. But to admit that at this point, they'd have to concede that they were wrong. They absolutely, positively don't have the balls to do that. So they're doubling down instead.

We respect the Constitution. They and the Turd don't.
