In the past few weeks, Trump has called Governor Kemp of Georgia "hapless" and a "moron" (among other insults) for not doing everything he can to reverse Georgia's election results. Kemp has been a loyal Trump stooge for the last four years, but he told Trump that he isn't inclined to interfere with what he sees as a legitimate election result and furthermore, as governor, he has no authority to do so anyway.
Trump, this spring, said he was "ashamed" to have endorsed Kemp and called him all sorts of childish names. NOW, he just phoned him up and begged for his support.
If you're a normal human being, you might realize that pitching gratuitous insults at someone who supports you is maybe not the best strategy if you might want a favor from that person at some point in the future. But Trump isn't a normal human being!
I guess we can all be thankful that the Orange Asshole is in self-destruct mode. I'm glad he's campaigning in Georgia tonight---that can only hurt Perdue and Loeffler!
