PJ - since you are so smart, how would you go about getting other nations to trade fairly?

First I would identify the nations that do trade unfairly. Almost all of the ones on Trump's list arent a problem....thats why he makes up lies about their tariffs (see Canada) or punishes countries that alreadys passed his fake test for a trade war (see UK whom we had a surplus with).
And I'm cool with getting tough on CHina when it comes to products that we compete with them on....or things that are part of our national security. examples: autos, oil, steel
I'm not cool with going after electronics manufactuing - unless you want your Iphone to cost $2500k....or bringing NIKE factories to the US where the only people who would take those jobs are the same ones Trump is kicking out of the country.
How's that, shortbus?

How that, you say? Let me break it down for you -- All the nations that trade unfairly with America have been identified - many of the ones on the list are a problem, some moreso than others. The unfair tariffs Canada imposed on American made goods have been and are fully documented. Establishing tariffs on Canada to match the tariffs Canada has on American goods is not "punishment' - it is equalizing the playing field. The "going after electronic manufacturing" is a misnomer - and you know it. Bringing electronic manufacturing BACK to America and creating NEW jobs to do the manufacturing will not cause I phones to cost $2500 - just where did you pull that asinine figure from - your ass? The NIKE part of your ignorant reply is a lie - the illegal aliens, their gangs and the assorted criminals that brain dead Biden, hyena Harris and the traitor Mayorkas allowed to invade America did not come to America to make Nike's. Any businesses - including Nike - brought back to America is smart - Americans will see more job opportunities, more tax dollars generated and stop America from being dependent on other nations that currently deal unfairly with America. Your real problem is you can not see the forest for the trees. The rectifying of 4 years of DemocRat spending, their addition of $8 trillion dollars to the national debt and the total neglect by Biden's administration to end insane, money wasting programs are the reasons for the current temporany adjustments to trade being a necessity for America's survival and longevity. You have NOT listed one logical, rational, common sense suggestion to President Trump's effort to make America strong again by having fair trade as the norm, instead of the exception.
Thus is illustrated the utter futility of trying to have a civil discussion with Millerscum. Nothing but insults and snide MAGA blather.

Are you saying China should dump all of its t-bills?
The thing that is unfair about Chinese trade right now is that Trump is charging US citzens a tax of 30% on everything they sell us. And we already couldn't buy their cars, phones and other electronics.
Yes. We should force China to sell it's US currency holdings over 10 years.

Which would lower the value of the dollar on world exchanges. That would eventually increase the interest the US government would have to pay on T-bills.
Remember when you bitched and moaned and griped and whined and cried and shat yourself over China "dumping" goods? Well, what do you think would happen if China dumped dollars?
Furthermore, how can we "force" China, an independent, sovereign nation, to do anything? Would you not be outraged if they tried to force us to sell anything, like a trillion dollars in assets?
You have to let go of this Trump concept that we're superior to other nations and can order them around.
You also have to learn how to spell. "It's." LOL!!!!

Yes, the dollar would weaken, better allowing US companies to compete on the world market. This would improve our economy and generate more taxes and lower our deficit. This in turn would imprve the dwindling credit US ratings and lower interest rates, further lowering the deficit. Kevin is a borrow now and fuck those coming after us sort of guy. It's quite a Liberal stance.

Weak dollar means inflation and less buying power. Thats a real problem for a consmer based economy like ours. If you want to change us from that to a manufacturing economy then you will have a lower income population.....and you have to figure out who is going to work 40 hrs a week sewing shoes at a Nike Factory.....because right now the only people who would take those jobs are the same ones you want kicked out of the country.

We can't compete in the world market if our exports are subject to reciprocal tariffs. And such tariffs will be imposed by other nations as long as we impose tariffs on them.
I've explained to Boiler why government borrowing is beneficial as long as our debt is rated #1 in the world. The Boiler Plan would degrade our rating and the interest we pay on our debt would skyrocket.
Good thing Boiler isn't in charge of anything. All he can do is prattle "liberal liberal liberal."

Owing money is never beneficial - what an asinine, stupid comment.
