Well, there's actually nothing wrong with being a communist country--but there hasn't been a true communist country in the history of the world. There have only been the usual fascist/totalitarian/strongman regimes pasting the communist label on their foreheads.
I recently watched a documentary about the US "red scare" in the 1950s. Tens of thousands of peoples' lives were ruined and careers destroyed. This despite the fact that it was perfectly legal to be a "commie," as it always had and always has been. Freedom of thought and expression are core American values. That's why it's so tragicomic that the House UnAmerican Activities Committee was formed to persecute Americans, and everything it did was deeply unAmerican, while all of its victims were just doing things that they had every right to do--as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.
Trump has no interest in communism, either. He just wants to use the old tried and true Thug in Charge of Everything model.

I remember when those lunatics thought Bill Gates was putting microchips in vaccines so the government could track them. Now they are ok with the government producing microchips that could track them and putting them in every PC. It certainly is the Chinese model of communism where in the government owns a slice of everything.
I wonder if intel will change its logo from intel inside to government inside.

Except that the government won't really own that slice--Trump will. He'll appoint a lackey as minority shareholder rep and use threats and bullying to make sure that as much money as possible goes straight into his pocket.
Intel is already building a warehouse to store ten million Trump Bibles. At the next shareholder meeting they will vote (with lots of "encouragement") to hire Trump as a "consultant" at $50 million a year. They will also dilute their stock by splitting it in half into regular shares and "Trump shares," which only the Trump family will be eligible to own. That way, Trump will own 55% of Intel and have complete control.
Don't laugh--it's been done before.

Stupid angry Charles takes a lot of Trump-licking stances just to start arguments and scream at people. Given his mindset as shown in the rational parts of his posts, he SHOULD be very much against Trump's Intel takeover.
This event is happening, as it turns out, pretty close to home. Intel's HQ is in Hillsboro, just west of Portland. Two thirds of the land they bought way back when, they donated to the city/county for nature parks. As a result, Hillsboro has almost as much park acreage as SFO or NYC.
If Trump comes stomping in, he'll order those parks bulldozed to the ground, just to hurt us LIBERALS.
Creating a free market exchange where Private Sector Insurance companies could compete for business was Communism according to the Tea Party. I think the phrase "Government takeover of our health system" was their favorite slogan..
Actual government takeover of a business by Trump is Capitalism.
Folks - you need to understand something. MAGA does not have any ideology beyond being upset at liberals....and immmigrants...and people of color. Thats it. Whenever Democrats have power Republicans take the opposite position on every issue regardless if they agree or not. Because ultimately they dont care about policy.
