"The difference" is that Joe Biden doesn't receive any of the money all those imaginary "shell companies" make--if they're real and make any money at all. Donald Trump DID make and receive millions while in office.

So shell companies provide no product or service. They are simply set up to launder money. In Biden's case, the money being laundered is in return for US goverment favors. Trump let's a Chinese man check into his hotel, and that's a crime.
