I don't get the so-called importance of this. What will/would the files prove? That Trump is a criminal and a scumbag? We know that already.

Likewise, would anything in the files result in a criminal prosecution of Trump? Never!

I wonder why nobody has considered the possibility that those records will be or have been tampered with.  It's certainly within the ability of the White House, and would make quite the "I told you so" moment for Trump.

True, but how often has he hung an "I'm guilty" sign around his neck and had all the loyalists buy his lame excuse hook, line and sinker.  I'd also figure that a President with all the resources of the Federal government at his unquestioning disposal would be able to pull off some sophisticated tampering.

I'm thinking/hoping that the forensics currently deployable could easily detect tampering. The question, of course, is whether the documents will be examined in that much detail. If a federal employee does it, Trump will immediately fire them.

I agree with you, though. The files could reveal Trump as a rapist, pedophile, and thief. In other words...nothing new. That hasn't bothered his drooling lackeys one bit. And of course it's all a witch hunt babble babble.
