Oddly, enough the Spanish Flu was named after Spain even though it originated in Kansas. That pandemic didn't really take off until it made its way to Spain. Based upon the precedent of naming the pandemic after where the worst outbreak was, we should call it the Trump Flu or maybe even the MAGA virus.
