Trump Launches New Attack On Healthcare System Aims For Total Destruction

I love it when Republicans snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The Affordable Care Act was already in peril after a federal judge in Texas invalidated the entire law late last year. But the stakes ramped up again this week, when President Trump’s Justice Department announced it had changed its position and agreed with the judge that the entire law, not just three pieces of it, should be scrapped.  Source

If the Orange Menace is successful the consequences will be horrific.  Of course, all the old white Trump supporters won't realize they are screwed until their Medicare premiums go up and their benefits go down.

Wow, you mean President Trump is looking for a way that I don't have to pay $13k in premiums, along with a $3k deductable?

No -  he isnt.   Not one little bit.

Remember "repeal and replace" ?......The Republican record has been and is officially just "repeal".   And Trump is now doubling down on it.

So under their better system your insurance stays exactly the same except now the Insurance companies can rescind your policy as soon as you get cancer.   And your kids cant stay on your plan while they go to college.   And women have to pay more for insurance than men because they have a uterus.     And seniors have the donut hole for their drugs ripped open again costing them 1000's.   And 15 million people (disproportionately in red states)  lose access to any kind of healthcare at all.  And inflation in your premiums goes back to the same rate it was before Obamacare drastically lowered it.

I'm glad Republicans have finally showed us whats in the empty box for their replacement plan.    Its what we knew all along.    (Apparently they did not listen to the exit polls in the midterm election where voters made this their primary issue)

No, Tom, Trump thinks the problem with the health care system is that you don't have enough skin in the game, and if you have a preexisting condition Trump is ok with making sure you don't have any insurance at all.  According to one of his spokesman, his new plan is his old plan the so-called skinny repeal they tried before. We know the numbers on that one 30 million new uninsured with higher premiums and higher out of pocket costs for you Tom plus it costs the government more.  But hey Trump gets the black guy by repealing his legislation and that is all that matters in Trump's mind.

Pj & Mark’s plan is to put everyone on a plan that is already bankrupt.

You do know that is how functioning market-based insurance is supposed to work?  The sick go in the same risk pool as the healthy.

So, are you purposing euthanasia for those with pre-existing conditions as an alternative? If not what is your plan? Trump sure doesn't have one.

The Democrat's have a range of ideas to take what we have now and make it better.

The Republicans only idea is to take us back to healthcare circa 2007.   And thats why they lost the midterms.

More like circa 1900.

"The Democrat's have a range of ideas to take what we have now and make it better."

Other than the financially unviable medicare for all, what are they?

Every other first world country does it, so it is not financially unavailable unless America is far inferior to all of those other countries and even some 3rd world ones.

The Democrats plans range from improving Obamacare to various forms of universal healthcare.
