Trump lie re SNAP (of course)

A few weeks ago, he said there were "ample" funds to make full November SNAP payments in the event the shutdown continued.

Then, as we saw, he pivoted to saying that only half the money was available, and he was withholding even that to "punish" the people who hadn't voted for him.

Two courts ordered him to pay up, the second court in full. He said he would ignore the courts, as is his right as emperor.

He also said that November SNAP payments would be "withheld" as "punishment" regardless.

Several blue states took the second court's ruling to be lawful and immediately paid out full SNAP benefits. The Turd blew a fuse and ordered those states to "undo" the payments. He threatened "financial penalties" for those states that didn't immediately comply with his imperial decree. He didn't include instructions as to how those states should "un-pay" SNAP recipients.

Interesting side note: in Oregon, when the payments went out on Friday, there was a blizzard of messages on social media saying, correctly as it turned out, that Trump would try to block or rescind those payments and those who received them should go out and spend it all NOW.

It was a busy weekend at Oregon's grocery stores.

There are now lawsuits in the works to stop the Turd from exacting "retribution," such as cutting off December payments.

And only two weeks ago, the Turd posted on Lies Social that he was "PROUD to fully fund SNAP"!

Lying, evil bastard. 

I'm consoled by the fact that this will cost the Republicans millions of votes. Who will vote for a party that wants to starve their children?

That's a pretty bad visual metaphor, as it implies that the two are opposites but equal. For Miller and me, that's not really the case. For one thing, we're not complete opposites; we're both gamblers and LVA subscribers

Point: When something is said by one person, it it may sound right, but as Solomon advises us, we need to hear both sides before rendering a decision.  Give it due diligence.  There might be some alternative ways to think.

Who among us has not regretted a snap (no pun intended) judgement or action, or statement, especially when unrelenting bias is present?
