If this survives a Supreme Court challenge, which will certainly take place, that will be a green light for several other states to do this as well
But does it make any difference--cant people just write "The Orange Turd" on the "Other" line?
They can write him in but it would be like writing in the name of someone under 35 or a non-natural born citizen. If you don't qualify, you don't qualify. It doesn't matter how many people write your name in.

Isn't that the question--whether he can appear on the ballot, or whether his candidacy is valid at all? So I read the decision--and you're right. A write-in Turd vote simply wouldn't count.
Now we move to the question of whether this is gonna happen in a MAGA state (no fuckin' way) or a swing state (maybe).
Then we move to the question of whether we want the Turd to be removed from contention. I still think the happiest outcome is that the RepubliQ goes ahead and nominates him and then he gets buried under a legal avalanche--making it impossible for the party to replace him in time. If he gets bounced now, and they stick up somebody like Haley, they might win, when they would have lost with Trump. And that would be almost as big of a disaster as Trump running and winning.
I wish to fuck Biden would just get out of the way, but it is what it is. Any other Democratic candidate would absolutely clean Trump's clock.
The best part is Neil Gorsuch is on record saying Colorado has the right to determine its own laws regarding who is on the ballot. They quoted him in the ruling from when he was a Colorado judge.
So just imagine the hypocrisy when he rules against the Colorado Court when this goes before him in the Supreme Court. Not that hypocrisy is a problem for him. But it will show the voters another example of the over the Federalsit Society judges who are corrupting our highest court.
They are trying to take him off the ballot for a crime that he has never been convicted or even charged with.
Under the logic of 4 unelected justices biden could be removed for not enforcing the immigration law and allowing millions of illegals to cross the border.
No, Trump took himself off the ballot when he attempted to overthrow the United States Government.
I suggest reading the 14th amendment. It doesn't require any type of conviction. In fact merely supporting those who enaged in an insurrection or rebellion by providing them aid or comfort warrants disqualification.
To PJ's point, I think it will be interesting to see how the more traditional conservatives on the court, there are three of them, will react. I suspect at least one or two of them are horrified by Trump's behavior. They could take this opportunity to get rid of Trump, improve the court's reputation and likely guarantee a Republican win in 2024.

You can't remove him based on an accusation that has never been proven.
Under that logic states can remove Biden for not protecting the border. It goes to show terrified the Democrats are that Trump could win.
This is a slippery slope & result in states playing tit for tat. Let the people decide.

Thats exactly what House Republicans are doing with the Biden impeachment as we speak...but I digress.
The Constituion does not require a conviction of a crime. It requires evidence that someone participated in an insurrection. You know, all the things that happend and you ignore like
-his speech on Jan 6 and the resulting mob attack
-his shaking down the GA governor for votes
-his intimidation and harrassement of election workers
-his coordiantion with several states to send fake electors
-his ordering Mike Pence to decertify the election
The Colorado didnt shrug all that off the way you do, Tom. Hence their ruling.
