If you were honest you'd recognize that Trump was only saying chickenhawks like the Cheneys wouldn’t be talking such a big game if they were on the front lines. That isn't the same as saying they should be executed. It expressed the same antiwar notion that honest liberals used to share.
Republicans are now the party of peace and Democrats the party of warmongering fortunate daughters. But it's a big tent if you like fearmongers and jingoists.. This is why so many are saying "The Democrat Party Left Me".
