Trump on making childcare affordable:

Q: What specific legislation will you commit to to make child care affordable?

Trump: "Well, I would do that and we're sitting down, you know, I was, somebody, we had Marco Rubio and my daughter, Ivanka. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about that because the child care is, child care couldn't, you know, there's something you have to have it in this country, you have to have it. I want to stay with child care. So we'll take care of it. Thank you."

Does anyone care to translate? (Some of us with elderly relatives have seen this before.)

Glad you asked !    His VP nominee will happily translate.....

the answer:  let Grandma do it....oh,  and reduce red tape to become a child care worker.    Apparently in his state child care facilities require 6 year degrees for its minimum wage baby sitters to work there.   And thats  Interesting.   In my state the only certification daycare workers need is to NOT be on the sex offender registry.

JD Vance's pro-family solution to child care costs

"So, one of the ways that you might be able to relieve a little bit of pressure on people who are paying so much for daycare is make is so that maybe, grandma and grandpa wants to help out a little bit more

I’m sure Grandma would be delighted to “help out a little bit more.” Grandpa, too, if the pair of them didn’t have to keep working until they turn 70 or beyond.

But JD - what if we dont have a grandma to help out ?

So, empower people to get the skills they need. Don’t force every early child care specialist to go and get a six-year college degree where they’ve got a whole lot of debt and Americans are much poorer because they’re paying out the wazoo for daycare. Empower working families. Empower people who want to do these things for a living, and that’s what we’ve got to do.

These performances cause Trumpers to wet their panties in excitement. They don't look at him and think, "This guy's losing it" (the way any normal person would). They actually rearrange Trump's babble in theiir minds and think, "Oh, he has a great solution to everything."

Vance's babble makes somewhat more sense. However, not everyone has a caregiver in their family, or at least not one who's necessarily willing and/or able to watch the little nippers all day. And Vance's "empower" nonsense is just a hot air talking point. How do you "empower" people when your boss plans to totally fuck up the economy, especially for the poor and the middle class?
