To be specific, the President retweeted a video where, in the first 15 seconds, a person clearly yells "white power." But Trump later deleted it, so good for him.

The hidden narrative is that he retweeted the video, then some horrified staffer/lackey pointed out to him that it might not be a good idea, using the only persuasion available--that it might hurt his reelection chances.
Typical White House conversation:
Lackey: Mister President, I don't think you should kill those fifty thousand people.

Lackey: It might hurt you in the election.

He deleted the tweet but still hasn't denounced the "White power" shout. No surprise.
Oh, and now he says that he didn't hear the phrase "white power" which was shouted three times by two men in the first 12 seconds of the video.
