Actually you can't because it is based on a study of less than 1% of Puerto Rico & the number was then extrapolated to the entire island.
The media then ran with the story, omitting the fact that there isn't any factual list of people.
This is the point that President Trump was making - there isn't a proven list of dead people; just an assumption.

While this was a scientific extrapolation rather than a list of specific names with specific causes, the Puerto Rican government accepted the estimate, as did lawmakers from both parties.

Nobody doubts these numbers except Trump and apparently Tom. Not Paul Ryan, Not Marco Rubio, Not Rick Scott and not anybody else with a lick of common sense.

Why is that an ignorant statement? The study is based on an estimate, using assumptions. There is no body count.
