Trump Says Hurricane Deaths In Puerto Rico Were Made Up…

Wrestling with a pig requires getting into the mud, and the pig likes that......in this case, take one guess who the pig might be.  Clue......look on the left side of the sty.

Too bad you didn't realize you were looking into the mirror.

Again the question is why does the President of the United States have a false belief that only a handful of people died when almost 3,000 died?

Mark,

Can you please provide us the names of the 3,000 people?

Actually you can't because it is based on a study of less than 1% of Puerto Rico & the number was then extrapolated to the entire island.

The media then ran with the story, omitting the fact that there isn't any factual list of people.

This is the point that President Trump was making - there isn't a proven list of dead people; just an assumption.

In August, a review by researchers from George Washington University at the request of the Puerto Rican government compared death rates during the storm and its aftermath to normal rates and concluded that 2,975 more people died than would have otherwise. While this was a scientific extrapolation rather than a list of specific names with specific causes, the Puerto Rican government accepted the estimate, as did lawmakers from both parties.

Nobody doubts these numbers except Trump and apparently Tom. Not Paul Ryan, Not Marco Rubio,  Not Rick Scott and not anybody else with a lick of common sense.

I have lost more common sense than you will ever have in your lifetime and I doubt the numbers.

Who are the 2,975 people?  Please provide a list, instead of a guess

Really?!?!  Just how willfully ignorant can you continue to be, and still be able to look yourself in the face in the morning?

"Who are the 2,975 people?  Please provide a list, instead of a guess"

Why is that an ignorant statement?  The study is based on an estimate, using assumptions.  There is no body count.

Repeating......when you wrestle with a pig, you have to get in the mud.  And the pig likes it!  Facts mean absolutely nothing to the left....so why bother?  I'll be nice here, or at least as pleasant as possible in this case.  When folks are stuck on stupid, they can't be helped.  Move on.

Fritz, aren't you the guy that takes potshots at members here in a private forum where they can't respond? Seems kind of cowardly to me.
