Trump Says WHO Numbers Are Fake News

President Donald Trump spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday about a myriad of issues and rambling insults about Democrats. But one comment left some alleging the president was being reckless with the facts.

The World Health Organization has said that the fatality rate for the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, is between 3-4 percent. Recent specific estimations put it at 3.4 percent. However, the president said that it’s all fake news. 

“I think the 3.4 percent number is really a false number,” Trump told Hannity. “Now, this is just my hunch but based on a lot of conversations … personally, I’d say the number is way under 1 percent.”

LOL way under 1%. Under Trump's watch, they are 7%.

In the same interview, Trump said people with mild symptoms can go right back to work without even seeing a doctor. 

This might be the time--FINALLY--when people learn to just ignore Trump. Of course, his drooling, mouth-breathing "base" will believe anything he says, but otherwise, no one with a functioning brain swallows his bullshit any more.

How can Trumpers remain slavishly loyal to a man who blatantly lies to them, over and over and over and over and over? Do they have no dignity or self-respect? Are they ever going to grow a pair and say, "Hey, dude, stop lying to us"? (This is where Cons break in with something about Bill Clinton or Daffy Duck.)

I mean, talk about the height of irresponsibility--lying about a health care crisis for the sole purpose of making yourself look good and avoiding damage to your image! The slow response to the coronavirus is directly attributable to Trump's destruction of Obama's pandemic repsonse team and slashing of funding for rapid responses.

Coronavirus deaths---TRUMP KILLED ALL THOSE PEOPLE. So yeah, Trumpers, keep on lining up at those MAGA rallies! To the resume of your hero, the rapist, fraud, and traitor, we can add "murderer." You should be so proud!

Actually, let me qualify that---other idiots have been loved and worshiped, but none have had 66 million people vote for them to be President.

If only the coronavirus was lethal only to Trumpers! That would be poetic justice, at least.

Again you're incorrect about Trump slashing the CDC budget. It has been proven he didn't, congress didn't let him. Also since no one knows exactly how many have been infected or are infected no one knows the death rate. This virus was circulating the world since the middle of December. Theoretically, some Americans could have caught a mild case of it over the holidays and are fine now. Trump could be correct. He also could be incorrect and the death rate could be astronomical. The fact is no one knows the death rate so how can he be lying by stating his oppinion?

You don't understand that the millions of brain-dead droolers who make up "the base" will take Trump's pulled-out-of-his-ass surmise as gospel truth and believe that there's nothing to worry about. Then they'll go out and cough on everybody. Presidential statements carry more weight than those made by other people--even those made by Trump, who nobody should believe.

Trump has slashed the CDC budget every year in one way or another. Yes, Congress hasn't let him do that directly, but he has restricted its activities, fired officials, cut off research funding, and hijacked funds meant for pandemic control. Look it up. He dismantled the pandemic response team that was created by Obama--for no better reason than that Obama created it.

Yes, we don't know the number infected. However, we do know the death rate: as in, number of deaths/number of known cases. That's the only statistic any country has--and so far, ours is the worst in the world. Yay Trump!!!
