Trump scores $24.5M YouTube settlement over account suspension dispute

The corrupt media is now paying up for what they did - more to come. --President Donald Trump has won a $24.5 million settlement from YouTube over the platform’s suspension of his account following the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots. The Alphabet-owned company is the last of the three major social media platforms sued by Trump, alongside Meta and Twitter, now called X, to resolve claims tied to his removal. According to a court filing obtained by Fox News Digital, $22 million of the settlement will be contributed on Trump’s behalf to the Trust for the National Mall, a nonprofit supporting construction of a new White House State Ballroom. So much for private property rights. Shouldn't companies be able to ban whoever they wish for any reason or no reason? YouTube and social media sites are not "traditional public forums" they are private property. Just like you could kick someone off your front lawn for holding political signs you disagree with a company should be able to kick someone off their platform.

Google and YouTube have admitted that the Biden administration pressured them to deplatform particular individuals, to get rid of content that the Biden White House did not want shared.

Private companies are allowed to remove people  for whatever reason they want.   They dont need permission from anyone else.   Its happened on this website before.

Google is settling with the administration because they dont want to lose contracts with the Federal Government.   Historically such a thing was never used as leverage.....but this president uses the full power of his office to go after political opponents and anyone who hurts his feelings.    Can you imagine if Obama did something like that.....I can hear Tom screaming "North Korea" from that alternate universe right now.

THere is no legal basis for the lawsuit.   Trump had no case.   Google just paid their tribute money to the king because they are pussies.

Trump pressured ABC to cancel Kimmel...and they did.    Biden pressured social media to cancel Trump....and they did.   You can find either scenario objectionable.   And thats dandy.   But thats not what the definition of "illegal" is.     

If you think one of those scenarios is  illegal but not the other....then you are not only wrong but you are also  an over the top hypocrite and a clown.    

There is no evidence that president Trump did that while the evidence is that the Biden gang hid it  4 years.
