I didn't brag about EVs; I posted that Ford had a surprise $1 billion tariff hit, and you brought up Ford EVs and the money they've invested in producing them. Then, of course, blamed Biden.
Mark pointed out that the price point Ford debuted its EV lineup at was out of reach for most consumers, which probably contributed to sluggish sales. I saw an article about Ford committing to producing lower-priced EVs, as Mark clearly explained, using technology they developed in the first round of their investment. Launching a $30,000 supposedly profitable Maverick small pickup. Not bragging, just sharing info, it seems like it's info you don't want to know about, it hurts to consider something out of your echo chamber.
I'm not buying a hybrid; I bought a Toyota 4Runner TRD Offroad Premium Hybrid two weeks ago when it finally arrived after ordering it 3 months ago. IT IS AWESOME! The hybrid part has nothing to do with gas mileage; it's all about horsepower and torque. It's my wife's car, and she will only own a 4Runner, so be it. They don't offer an EV.
I am eyeing the Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV for me, but we need to digest the 4Runner first. I love the power, torque, speed, no oil, no gas, and no spark plugs, to waste my time at the mechanic.
It takes 50lbs of rock for 1lb of lithium. Most cars have 20lbs of lithium. So you need to move 1/2 ton of rocke per car.
Not great for the environment & chins controls the rare earths market.
Now the usual suspects think cars & power plants use all the fossil fuels but over 6,000 products use fossil fuels fuels.
Fossil fuels aren't going anywhere.
Yeah, thanks for the info, of course I don't care about any of that. You've decided, probably because of the right-wing media telling what "the libs" are wrong about, that any of that matters to me.
Thanks for playing.
