Trump wants to help out the coronavirus

Now, Trumpers, before you turn purple and start screaming, I want to assure that I'm simply reporting the facts--which you can easily verify on your own.

Trump's new proposed budget includes a cut of funding for global health organizations, from $9.1 billion to $6 billion. These include special task forces to deal with...pandemics.

The reason, of course, is that Obama set up these special agencies and funding precisely to deal with crises like the current outbreaks of coronavirus and Ebola. Trump wants to destroy everything Obama did, no matter what. This includes drastically reducing funding to fight pandemics, it seems.

Several of our Trumpers have expressed concern over the coronavirus, so they'll be happy to know that their orange idol has proposed slashing funds to fight it by a third.

But we'll still have that bigly wall and Trump's luxury golf weekends, paid for by the American taxpayer!

We need to reconcile those tax cuts that paid for themselves.    And the wall that was paid for by Mexico.

If I got a tax cut for 2018, I would hate to think how much more I would have had to pay.

The tax cut was a shell game. Billionaires and big corporations got genuine breaks, but most average folks got little or nothing--or in cases such as mine, i paid $200 more on $300 less income, because of the destruction of several previously available deductions.

It's been a part of Republican mythology, ever since Reagan, that you cut tax revenue and somehow, magical pink camels deliver the needed money on their backs to the Treasury, or something. The rich guy tax breaks have put the federal budget deep in the red. But don't worry, Trump has a bigly plan!

Trump will have blood on his hands when we don't have the resources to fight, maybe not this pandemic, but the next one. He's proposed massive cuts to everything except his golf junkets.

"Pelosi and even some congressional Republicans have criticized the administration's $2.5 billion emergency funding request as not enough money. Trump said Wednesday he would accept as much money as Congress wanted to provide."

Congress won't be giving the money to Trump, but rather, to various government agencies.

That doesn't mean he won't try to steal some of it. Maybe a billion or so for the new Trump Coronavirus Resort.

Have tax revenues under Trump gone up?

Tax revenues have increased under every President since FDR. That's because the population has continuously increased--more taxpayers. Also, due to inflation, the numerical amount of tax revenue has increased.

I guess we can give Trump credit for population increases.

Once again Kevin is wrong. In 2007 revenue was $2.6 trillion.  We did not get back to that revenue until 2013. 

The question by Libs on this site was how is Trump going to pay for his tax cuts.  They, in fact, paid for themselves.
