Trump warned us 3 years ago!

Racism and xenophobia. Trump's message has always been about hatred of the "other." Why? It makes a lot of people feel good--like rdwoodpecker and Boilerman.

Doesn't it feel good to hate other races, guys?

No problem with Chinese people but a huge problem with the Chinese regime!

Not sure who “you both” is pertaining to. If me, you would be wrong as I have only called it the China virus which is not “racist”!

Why is everything a liberal dislikes is “racist”? Just pathetic

Boilerman, I assume you're in the chemical game, I retired from a petrochemical company, did you ever do business with CPChem?

Cjen, I worked years for Union Chemical (think Union 76), and then Ashland Chemical (Think Ashland Oil/Ashland inc).  After that I've worked for several small to medium sized regional specialty chemical houses (anywhere from 10 - 500 employees.  My father and grandfather were both engineers for Pure Oil/Union Oil.  I'm still at it.

Cjen, I never answered your question about Chevron Phillips Chemical.  During my years with Ashland, we produced aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents.  However, we did not produce heptane and hexane.  We bought 26,000 gallon rail cars of both Phillips products at most of our distribution centers.  These cars came from Bartlesville, as you likely know.  During my years at Union Chemical we were the largest producer of the aliphatics, and a minor producer on the aromatics.  We produced heptane and hexane and competed with Phillips, although Phillips had multiple grades of hexane (higher normal hexane content) and we had a single less pure grade.  This was all prior to the Chevon/Phillps Chemical merger as my years with Union and Ashland ended in 1999.  Since then I've spending my time calling on the same industries (Coating/Paint, Ink, Adhesive, Plastics, Elastomers), but on the specialty chemical side.  Acrylic and modified acrylic resins, epoxy resins and hardiners, MDI isocyanates polyurethanes, colored pigments, TiO2, light stabilizers, light absorbers, antioxidants, dispersants, defoamers, surfactants and wetters, slip aids, and the list goes on.

Nothing better than a big cold glass of aliphatic solvents on a Summer evening watching the fireflies blinking on an off in the yard.

That may be true, but you'll only get to enjoy it once.
