trump was supposed to address the overflow crowd....

Look, I don't like Trump anymore than you guys do believe it or not.  But you do realize Biden has dimentia, right?  I can't even make fun of him because he is sick.

It is just amazing we can't come up with two better candidates then these two.

No, he doesn't have "dimentia" (actually, it's "dementia"). Dementia is a severe loss of cognitive function. He frequently has verbal gaffes, but realistically, he's been having them for forty years. I've watched him in interviews and on the debate stage. I haven't been impressed, but it doesn't seem to me like he's losing it.

Do I think he's a great candidate? No. He was about my ninth pick, back in the primaries. But that may not matter all that much. The big thing, from the Democrats' point of view, is that he doesn't really have any major negatives--nothing that Trump can latch onto and obsessively hammer at (despite his desperate attempts to find something). In the Baskin Robbins of politics, he's vanilla.

But lots of people will pick vanilla if it's one of only two flavors available, and the only alternative is pig shit in hydrochloric acid.

There are 9 year olds in grade school that don't start stumbling all over themselves when answering questions and losing focus on talking points.   I don't believe he was always like that.  I.e. dementia Trump off script is not much better but I just think he is insane.

OK, maybe he was always like that.  I stand corrected.

Good one on Trump color.....

But God help us if these are our two candidates.

It's not so bad, actually. Presidents--including the current sad excuse--more set the tone than dictate policy. Eisenhower sat in the Oval Office for eight years and played golf. Reagan put on the mantle of King of Happy Fun Sunshine Land and smiled happily as his brains dribbled away. Obama had some ideas and tried to implement them, but got stuck in the ooze of Washington politics.

The bigger deal is the mood of the country and its appetite for change. Then, it comes down to how unified our leaders can be. If the Senate turns Democrat and Biden wins, then either we'll enter a new era of peace, prosperity, and happiness, or we'll all turn SOOOOOCIALIST (EEEK!) and the Earth will spiral into the sun, depending on whom you ask.

The one sea change I see happening is universal health care, no ifs, ands, or buts. Tens of millions of people lost their health care when they lost their jobs, and many of them are racking up huge medical bills. That's creating a completely unsustainable situation. We also should consider how much worse the pandemic is because so many people don't have access to health care.

I'm all ears...

Bullshit on your description of Eisenhower. Massively expanded our interstate highway system. Massively expanded public colleges and universities. We're still living with the benefits of all that.

Ike was impressed when he cruised the Autobahn after the Big One.

Also, he knew that our road system was inadequate for moving large amounts of troops and equiptment. He also made NASA.

Yeah, his efficacy is debatable. I see him as more of a caretaker President, standing up to them Rooskies and otherwise, watching over America's big postwar baby boom.

I guess my point was that he just kept his hands on the tiller, didn't do anything adventurous, and didn't do anything stupid. At that time, we didn't need big social change. Now, of course, we do. Oh God, how we do.

What do Trump rallies and Trump wives have in common.

Nobody comes.

What do common sense and toad have in common ? Nothing.
