Trump Working Hard To Cover-Up His Incompetence

The CDC removed data today regarding how many people have been given the COVID-19 test. 

See what really matters is making Trump look good. If the data doesn't make Trump look good, simply delete it.  It's not like we need accurate data during a pandemic. 

Here is what an ER MD in New York said today.

McCarthy, a staff physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, says he still does not have access to test kits.

"Before I came here this morning, I was in the emergency room seeing patients," he said on CNBC's "Squawk Box." "I still do not have a rapid diagnostic test available to me...

"I'm here to tell you, right now, at one of the busiest hospitals in the country, I don't have it at my finger tips," he said. "I still have to make my case, plead to test people. This is not good. We know that there are 88 cases in the United States. There are going to be hundreds by middle of week. There's going to be thousands by next week. And this is a testing issue."

It is clear to me that people aren't being tested for political reasons and this is an atrocity.  

Its not just Trump....its Republicans in general.    They do the same thing with scientific conclusions reached by government research.

Orwell describes it as the "Ministry of Truth" in his famous book about a Trumpian autocracy.

The Ministry of Truth (Newspeak: Minitrue) is the ministry of propaganda. As with the other ministries in the novel, the name Ministry of Truth is a misnomer because in reality it serves the opposite: it is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events. However, like the other ministries, the name is also apt because it decides what "truth" is in Oceania.

As well as administering truth, the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, "truth" is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants. In keeping with the concept of doublethink, the ministry is thus aptly named in that it creates/manufactures "truth" in the Newspeak sense of the word. The book describes the doctoring of historical records to show a government-approved version of events.

That's why I hate those scum. You can believe whatever rotting dog crap you wish, but when you affect other people's lives with those beliefs, you cross a line.

Of course, there are very, very few Republicans who actually don't believe in climate change. They're just paid by the fossil fuel industry to say that it's a liberal hoax. Money in their pockets is literally more important to them than the planet they live on.

I'm hoping the continuing Republican anti-science stance will continue to alienate young voters. The nasty old white man era of dominance is coming to a close, and Trump embodies its last, convulsive spasm. We'll have decency and democracy by 2024; the only question now is whether we'll have it by 2020.
