Yes, President Biden is set to raise $18 billion a year in US importer taxes (tariffs) in strategic areas that will comply with international trade agreements and which are designed to aid our economy.

Between Trump's promises to raise importer taxes by 10% across the board and by up to 60% with China, Trump is looking to raise taxes by $500 billion yearly.

Sledhead, did you notice the difference between those two numbers? Even someone as dim as you should be able to figure it out.

Well, dude, you could do a minute's worth of research and compare the dollar amount of the new "Biden" tarfiifs to the amount proposed by Trump (let's call them the Turd Tariffs). Do that and get back to us.

Oh, and parenthetically--I don't agree with tariffs in any form, because I was actually awake in history class and I know they have literally never worked in the history of the world. But the difference between Biden's and the Turd's tariffs is that the latter would be roughly 26 times as large as the former.

So Biden's idea is lousy but relatively inconsequential. Trump's would cause a nationwide depression--just like the last round of blanket tariffs did.
