Of course, no one associates with those slime voluntarily. But unless we're really lucky, we have relatives, neighbors, co-workers, etc. who bray their MAGA message long and loud and we can't get away from. How do you cope? I vacillate between just ignoring them and letting them spew to telling them just how stoopid, evil, and gullible they are. Which of course does no good--it certainly doesn't shut them up.

It is interesting. I live in a MAGA area but very few people are talking about Trump anymore. The usual blowhards at the local watering holes don't even mention him at lunch anymore. Family members that use to regularly bring him up at every family event seem to be embarrassed to talk about him now. I am just not seeing same level of enthusiasm for Trump that there was back in 2016 and 2020 even among his base.
His old VP just came out today and said he's not endorsing his former boss. Another in a long list of his inner circle who are warning America Trump is unfit for office.

Not that I put very much stock in polls, but why is he still showing as the leader over Biden? Is it simply that the poll questions are usually framed as a choice between one or the other, when in reality, "Neither" is going to be the choice of a lot of former MAGAs?
That is a quandary. I suspect the polls are off especially this early. I note he underperformed his polling by about 10% on average during the primaries. Furthermore, if you Google it there have been quite a few news stories over the last several months about how they are having a hard time getting people to show up at his rallies. They quit holding as many and moved them to smaller venues to compensate.

Well, that issue, at least, is going to go away for him...because campaign contributions used to pay for these idiot-fests (as far as I know, they were free to attend), but now, all the goober money is being sucked into the black hole that is Trump's legal bills and judgments. The rubes are getting more and more reluctant to fund the Turd. He's going to be forced to hold his rallies in Waffle Houses.
It would be amusing to see what would happen if he started charging admission to his rallies. Would more than ten people show up? I suspect that very few of the MAGA faithful would pay to see him babble. And boy, does he babble now (not that he made a lot of sense before).
