It just hit me--religion is all about faith, which is believing something in the absence of any supporting evidence (and--touting such belief as a virtue). And what could be more so than Trumper loyalty? Trumpism has all the elements of a new religion:

Deity: The Orange One

Holy book: The Art of the Deal

Periodic rituals: MAGA rallies

Clothing to show your devotion: Red baseball caps

Ritual prayers: "LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP!"

Promises of a better life if you believe: Mostest bestest bigliest economy ever in the history of the galaxy

Taboos: Free press, reading, learning

High priests: Fox News, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, etc.

Pope: Moscow Mitch

Group that it is mandatory to hate: Mexicans, Muslims

Sacraments: Rape, groping, fraud

Tithes: Tariffs, tax hikes for the middle class

And the Orange One never, ever lies! (Talk about an article of Trumper faith.)
