Trumpler Youth Surround Native American Veteran And Mock Him

Fred,

Someone that comes to the border and requests asylum isn't an "illegal".  To call such a person an "illegal" is racism.  Most of the folks in the so-called migrant caravans are there to seek legal entry into the United States. That is why Trump illegally shut down the ports of entry. He didn't want brown people coming into the U.S. legally because he is, in fact, a racist. Calling these folks illegals, invaders, criminals, vermin and other such slurs as is frequently done by our President and folks in the conservative entertainment media is racism.

At what point are there to many people coming in via caravans?

If these people really wanted asylum, why didn’t they accept Mexico’s offer?

The asylum system is valuable but it is misued, just like all programs.  I personally know some who came in as seeking asylum, probably 15-20 years ago.  They were not fleeing anything, and they are productive and self sustaining.   Maybe it depends on how long it takes for each system of legal entry.

At what point do facts override the alt-white propoganda BS that is fed by the alt-white president and his alt-white news channel ?

As usual pj ducks the question. How many is to many?

Why don’t they take Mexico’s offer of asylum?

Maybe when we run out of jobs that American citizens dont want - but aspiring refugees from oppressed countries do.     They probably think opportunity is better in the US than Mexico - and they are right.

It doesn't scare me at all that hard working people want to get hard working jobs and pay taxes in the US.   And any economist from any side of the aisle will tell you we need more people to sustain growth going forward or suffer the same fate as Japan.   Our birthrate is going down.

But despite this analysis the record low number of illegal crossings and assylum seekers really scare the shit out of the alt-white (and Tom).    Because thats the propoganda they are fed from the alt-white president and his alt-white news channel.   Along with anecdotal stories of crime amongst a population of people that are far less violent than regular US citizens.

  I feel sorry for them.

I know pj likes to pretend all these people are law abiding people but

From October 2008 to April 2014, Texas identified a total 177,588 unique criminal alien defendants booked into Texas county jails. These individuals have been identified through the Secure Communities initiative, in which Texas has participated since October 2008

This is just 1 state & not all states report crimes by alien status.

In addition we now know 95,000 illegals are registered to vote in Texas & 58,000 have voted.  While people like Mark like to pretend this is a racist issue, the real reason for their illegal love is votes.  The more they can sneak in & let them vote so they can get free stuff, the more votes they get.

Of course at some point the money runs out

Several generalizations:  criminal aliens incarcerated in Texas (wouldn't that be a good thing?  That criminals are incarcerated?); how many states use the Secure Communities initiative; illegals registered to vote/have voted in Texas.  I would ask about the process of registering to vote in Texas.  Are illegals legally allowed to vote in Texas per Texas law?  Just curious; whether or not "all these people" (?) abide by laws (who can say "all" for certain, and who are "these" people?; whether or not civil (ha) discussion about these matters represents "racist" views by posters; whether somebody "sneaks" somebody "in" so they can vote and "get free stuff."

So much generalization in the whole thread, difficult to interpret fact or fiction.  Statistics generalize, it is just what they do.  In my state recently, there bubbled up protests about the practice of presenting ID at the polls.  The outcome was that the ladies and gents working the polls were told if the voter refuses to show ID, just mark "no ID" next to his/her name, and allow the person to vote.  At this time the legislature is considering how to address this, including whether a person is required to have legal citizenship to vote, but at present seems not to be required.  I'm told that in the case of a very close race it is possible that whether the person voted legally or not COULD be an issue in a recount.

The only thing we know is Tom gets his facts from the Texas Secretary of State twitter account...which is why he's too embarrassed to cite his posts.

As usual the fact checkers say it has no basis in fact.

Tom made up another statistic and posted it on this message board   and then wanted to have an intelligent discussion about it.

When Colorado made a similar hypothesis on similar grounds they followed through by verifying their data.   Their hypothesis ended up being incorrect by a mere 99% margin.    When the alt-white ruled Colorado

Pj won’t answer the question of how many is to many - 100,000, 200,000, 1,000,000?
