Trump's Death Panel Announces Plan To Reopen America

I don't want to spoil it too much for you but from a quick read, before I left for work, I picked up on a few things.

1.  It assumes things that don't yet exist do indeed exist or will as of May 1st.

     a.  Widespread Testing For Infections

     b.  Testing For Antibodies which the other news of the day concludes is a long way away.  

     c.  Effective therapeutics for COVID-19. (I assume they are talking about the fish tank cleaner as there was no specific therapeutic mentioned.) 

2.  Children will literally be the sacrificial lambs as the first things to open will be child care facilities and k-12 schools.

3. You can sign-up to become part of a new Federal Agency called, "COVID-19 Corps." Yep, that is what it is really called.  Soon every child will be asking, Mom, when I grow up should I join the Space Force or the COVID-19 Corps?

I am sure there are other nuggets of death and wingnuttery in there to discover, but I have to leave for work.

24% of the counties have had no cases. Others have had minimal cases. 

Why can't we look at reopening these counties?

If President Trump said he wasn't going to reopen the economy, the stooges would complain about that, because it is all about opposing anything President Trump. 

Just another day of the same old leftist bitching, moaning and lying. Tune in tomorrow, the next day,next week, next month for more of the same...

A county saying they haven't had any cases and therefore, they're immune is like your teenager saying he's a perfect driver because he hasn't crashed the car yet.

Thats what the governors of South Dakota and FLorida said right before they got hit.

And the counties with "no cases" or "minimal cases" you cite is a BS statisitic considering a tiny fraction of 1% of the population has been tested.    This outbreak is in every zipcode.    If there is no plan to contain it then reopening the economy will lead to the same mess we have now.    

The good news is containment measures look to be available in the near future.   But if you haven't figured it out already, the CDC is a better resource for their deployment timeline compared to  President Tweetybird who contradicts them.

No Pandemic team...but we do have Space Force.

we are safe from Ming the Merciless.   COVID-19?  Not so much.

But..priorities.

How would you Liberals deal with this situation, not go back to normal for 18 months? Close Vegas for good? close schools for good? some experts say this virus could last years, so again I ask for solutions, otherwise no matter what Trump does it is wrong. Please keep in mind no one under 90 had to live in a great depression, I am willing to risk my life not to live through another one, so my solution would be let us decide, this is American after all. Also I am just wondering did all you Liberals get your flu-shot where children die from the flu every year?
