In addition to being a dead ringer for Jaba-The-Hut his qualifications include:

No college degree of any kind.

He's not a CPA or even a low level accountant.
He's never led any group or company with more than a handful of employees.

He took a three day seminar in tax consulting which he used as certification for his "tax business"

But he is a Trump zealot, not black, not gay (maybe - who knows), and not Muslim.     Boo-yah !

 Apparently PJ suggests that in order to be "qualified" one must be (1) Black, (2) Gay, and (3) Muslim in order to meet with his approval......

Actually, to be qualified for a high government post means to have extensive experience and knowledge in the relevant field, neither of which Jabba the Trump has.

This is by design, of course. Trump wants a weak IRS so he and Elon don't have to pay taxes.

But rest easy, David.  Your new guy went to a 3 day seminar on taxes so he's good.

A flat tax with a $40k personal exemption plus a deduction for an IRA or 401k would eliminate most of the need for the IRS and tax accountants.

The IRS already spends virtually no time auditing the middle class as their tax returns are largely automated.  Its those millionaires with all the deductions that cause the problem.   Tens of thousands of them dont even bother to file a return because they know the IRS is understaffed and unlikely to hold them accountable.

Thanks to people who think like Tom these crooks dont have to pay any taxes while working schmucks like the rest of us do.   And with Donny's new special needs IRS chief you can expect that dynamic wont change.    

The lowest hanging fruit on our ongoing deficit problem is making everyone pay their taxes in accordance with current laws  instead of turning a blind eye to people who cheat on their taxes.

And that would a) drastically reduce taxes on the rich and b) drastically increase taxes on the poor.
