Trump's Meet the Press Interview

Not a good look when you, the President, are asked if you will uphold the Constitution in regards to due process, and you say, "I don't know."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b4OAlpPhNA

It's the last part of the first sentence of the oath of office.  "......and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

At least he did mention that he will only be a two term President, but we'll see if that comes to pass.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of his Presidency plays out, but it's been an action packed first 100 days, that's for sure.

What is really not a "good look" is when whiney, crying brainwashed liberal morons complain about any and every word spoken by President Trump - apparently you imbeciles have forgotten the multitudes of words that brain dead Biden spewed the 4 years he screwed America. Where were your comments/complaints during that time period?

Give him credit for talking to someone whose lastname isnt "Hannity".  Baby steps

I guess you really took a beating this last trip.

Why didn't she ask what his favorite Ice Cream was?

I thought that was the appropriate 'depth' of question for Presidents.

I don't know where your quote was or the context in that over hour interview (longer than the total of Biden's press presence over 2023-2025), but I'm sure its out of context.

I have to rush for a doctor's appt, but one thing stood out to me, and I'm not in love with Trump, but want to wait and see:

The interviewer kept pointing out that the increased price of "strollers" would impact families.  Trump countered with the improving (if true, O2b) prices in energy.  OK.  Usually one stroller per kid, maybe another as the kid's age and size increases, car seat, etc.  One time purchases vs monthly gas, HVAC, etc. energy costs are multiple and ongoing every day/month.  JMHO.

I'll finish looking at the rest of the interview.

And as for the "upholding the Constitution" question, it wasn't clear to me where the interviewer was going, exactly what the question meant, and how Trump interpreted the question and how he would answer it in that moment in time.  I took it that he wasn't sure either,  how to answer.  I don't see it as such a simple question, in reality.  Sounds easy, not that easy in every thousand million situations.

Trump is the Chief Executive and his primary role is to uphold the Constitution. He took an oath to that effect...twice. If he truly understands that...and his actions do indeed suggest that he doesn't...his response should be instantaneous and unequivocal. But it wasn't.

Candy, it was in fact an exceedingly simple question, and that Trump waffled and fumbled in response is extremely alarming.

I thought so also, but Candy's last paragraph of her post makes sense.  He might not have been thinking along the lines of the Constitution, and due process, when he answered.

The Turd's words as well as actions have shown his utter contempt for the concepts of due process and fealty to the Constitution. He truly thinks he should have a dictator's unlimited power.
