Trump's Meet the Press Interview

I appreciate all comments regarding my interpretation of what Trump meant.  I'm not sure "due process" is the same thing all the time for everybody and every situation.  Trump could have handled the question better, as do many politicians every hour of every day, yet they often do not actually uphold what they say.

It could be interpreted that he sidestepped being held to his word in regard to due process and upholding the Constitution.

Kind of like how everyone raises "freedom of speech" in how they see it.  But it isn't so concrete.  There is freedom, but there are limits.

I give Trump credit for being able to manipulate the media into chasing his talking points and dumbing down the consequences.    THe last three days all I hear on the news is the price of dolls at Christmas.    Like thats the big price we pay for tariffs.   Your kid's Barbie doll is the least of it.

You know how you walk into Wal*Mart and half the store is grocery and the other half is everything else.    Yeah.   That everything else half is going to be between 10% to 150% more expensive...or just empty in places.       Thats the consequence.     Not stupid dolls.

I watched that part and he was just answering he didn't know if millions of unprocessed illegal aliens were to have 'due process' and bigger up the court system for a hundred years.   Biden sure didn't legally process them coming in so no reason to process them through the courts to go out.  He said he has lawyers to figure that out.

If you read more than that out of it you're just a loser who loves to beat off Trump for any reason you can make up.

Just like that recent MSNBC story about Kash Patel nightclubbing instead of working, they had to do an on air retraction today,

It's a tired plank of the liberals, just like the fake russian collusion, pee tapes, laptop is Russian, blah blah, your side just outright lies.

This is correct.  Due process for illegal aliens was exactly what Trump was referring to, not some smear propaganda that he's eliminating the constitution. God these people are stupid.  BY LAW "Due Process" for a person illegally in this country is different than that of an American Citizen.   What law is it that provides for different processes for Citizens and non-citizens?   Why that would be the 1996  Immigration Reform Act signed into law by non other than Democrat Bill Clinton.  But I don't remember Democrats getting their panties in a wad then and whining about "fealty to the constitution" and "Clinton the Dictator"

For the uninformed, the Immigration Reform Act in 1996 allows and justifies some illegal immigrants to be deported without a formal hearing in front of an immigration judge.  These are called 'expedited removals'.  And those subject to expedited removals are not even afforded a right to an attorney.  Sorry.  No 5 year wait for a trial and free attorney for them.  Bla Bla Ba...They get the Due fucking process they deserve and that a Democrat signed into law and that Deporter in Chief Obama used to deport 3 million of them..

The law also expanded the crimes that warrant deportation, not only for illegal immigrants, but legal immigrants as well.

It was a Democrat that made it possible for this Republican administration to do much of what it is doing in regards to immigration, while operating fully within the law.   But that was back when Democrats were sane and cared more about American citizens than millions of unvetted illegals like the ones Joe Biden allowed to cut line in front of every immigrant trying to come to America legally.

Charles the issue has already been litigated. The Supreme Court said these folks get due process before they can be expelled from the country. That is the final say.

But...define Due Process as it applies to US citizens vs everybody else.  Perhaps CharlesII has provided some insight into this.  Thanks.

...but it was a Marie Antoinette moment one Trump and his cabinet continues to be making. I do think when people see those prices on toys that are available and the absence in availability of toys it is going to be a real problem for Trump and those Marie Antoinette moments will be played over and over again in the media.

Due process still means via lawful court actions. It definitely doesn't mean grab someone and stuff them on a plane. It definitely doesn't mean deciding someone's a gang member and a criminal because they're brown and wearing a tattoo.

Charles is a-OK with "summary justice" as it's applied to FEELTHY IMMERGENTS. I'm not. You shouldn't be, either.
