Truth Isn't Truth

Naw, it was a lawyer. They never lie. 

...and by your deflection, I might assume you agree with Goldberg's version of the truth.

Sigh, in court a lawyer can't lie. If they do and get caught they can no longer practice law. Furthermore, when Cohen entered his plea and said he was directed by Trump that was part of what they call a factual basis for establishing the accused actually committed the crime he is pleading guilty to. If Trump wasn't involved in the crime, the prosecutors would have objected when Cohen implicated him.  The fact that they didn't object indicates they have evidence that Trump did indeed direct Cohen to commit the felony and that Trump himself is guilty of the same felony. 

Here is what the prosecutors say about it from the actual charging documents.

So they have the calls, the times of the meetings and so on.  In other words, they have all the details. The question for you Bob and other Republican voters is are you going to let a guy that has got caught redhanded committing felonies to cheat in his own election continue to occupy the White House. It will be a real test to see how much integrity the Republican party has left. I suspect we will find they have none.  

I am also sure Lanny Davis wasn't lying when he said Trump knew about the meeting with the Russians and knew about the Russian hacking beforehand.  That is probably why he is so deferential to Putin. He knows Putin has evidence of his involvement in the scheme.

From day one, this entire investigation HAS NOT been all about finding the truth. It has been, and continues to be, an unending effort to taken down a sitting president. Knowing the real reason for the investigation, and the biases of the investigators and prosecution, the end goal appears to be one of those "the ends justify the means" situations. What could be a bigger feather in Lanny Davis' cap than playing a key role in taking down Trump, the man who beat his long-time friend? Would he lie in a court of law to accomplish this? I believe he thinks it would be worth the risk of being caught...

If Trump wouldn't have hidden the truth and obstructed justice from the get-go, there would be no need to find the truth.  I suspect the truth in Trump's case is very ugly with a long history of criminal misconduct which the Federal prosecutors will outline in their final report.  Recordings, bank records, documents, and phone records don't lie or have any bias, Bob.  Again, read the charging documents. Those are in the words of Federal prosecutors from SDNY, not Cohen, Davis or Mueller. 

The smart thing to do at this point would be to face facts, Trump has committed a crime and there is evidence he committed that crime.  This felony campaign finance violation is just the tip of the iceberg.  As Michael Avenatti said, it is time to buckle up buttercup.
