The Turd increases healthcare costs

OHP (Oregon Health Plan) is partially funded by Medicare and Medicaid. So the Trump Big Pig Bill is raising costs for us, though not as badly as in red goober states.

I pay Medicare premiums as well as prescription copays. My total expenses were modest: $65/month. I just got a notice saying that my costs will be $192 a month, starting Jan. 1.

Now, I can absorb that. But what about all the people who can't? What about all the people who will now have to choose between food, utility bills, and medical care? How many people will go off their medications because they can no longer afford them?

Just to pay for Trump's golden throne room and for a carrier group to prowl the Caribbean, blowing up fishing boats. Fuck every MAGA who voted for this.

Now for the real Medicare increase.  No 300+% increase as lying kevin says

Part B premiums are expected to rise to $206.50, reflecting an increase of 11.6% from the previous amount of $185. 1 The Part B deductible is projected to increase to $288, which is a 12% rise from $257.

Did I say that EVERYBODY would experience a tripling of their healthcare costs? No, I didn't, stupid lying fucktard Tom.

I did say that costs will increase and those increases might be too much for some people to absorb.

Why are you approving of that, you stupid little evil Trump-licking scumbag?

So are you claiming that DEMOCRATS raised Americans' healthcare costs??

You rotten, lying fuck.🤮🤮🤮🤮

Sorry for the pirce increase Kevin.  I am guessing the more people that don't pay into the system raises the cost of the people who are paying..  Home  and auto insurance is still going up 10 percert a year as well, and inflation is down to 3 percent.  I don't think tax credits are the answer for insurance costs., but they take a big toll on families.  Not everyone can use mass transit to get to work, and icar insurance can be more than the price of fuel for the month.  Home insurance costs are raising our loan payments and are also passed down to renters.  If you have a hard time with the first two you probably have to roll the dice with your health care and hope like hell nothing happens.  I am sure we all have family members that struggle with these increases every year, and can't seem to break the cycle no matter who has been in the White House for the last 20 plus years

What frosts my ass is that these premium/copay increases aren't due to increased costs of care. They're a completely artificial adjustment compelled by MAGA's crusade to reduce taxes on corporations and the wealthy. And our healthcare is already the most expensive in the world.

I'm still stunned by the fact that roughly half of the electorate has voted--three times--to enrich corporations and billionaires at the expense of the average citizen. Are people that stupid?

Tax credits are the only way to "smooth out" healthcare costs so that people for whom premiums are a genuine strain aren't forced to do without. It's a kludgy system, and of course universal single-psyer health care, as found in every civilized nation except here in Trump Land, would be far better.

As far as "more people who don't pay into the system"--well, I don't see that. The vast majority of people are on a private plan, Obamacare, or Medicare/Medicaid. The last of these is indeed "paying into the system"--with payroll deductions, often over several decades.

What IS costly is people going without sufficient or any coverage and then a minor condition takes $50K to cure. Or pandemics spread a la Trump.

The simple reality is that even from a completely cold-blooded standpoint, disregarding humanity and compassion (a la MAGA), it's far cheaper to offer free medical care to everyone than to be continually scraping people off the sidewalk.

MAGA will never comprehend that.

And what you don't get, asshole, is that all of those getting "free" healthcare is that every tax payer is paying for the healthcare that these people do not pay for.
