Uh-Oh ! Somebody's After Your Money

I fail to see how defense contracts can be equated with, say, food stamps or Medicaid.

I know they're touted as federal largesse bestowed on a state/district in return for a local politician's loyalty/clout. You know that Congressman Bedfellow has brought home the bacon for your town when the Feds decide to built the anti personnel widget factory there.

But it's not outright payments, like most of the stuff that net-loss Trumper states (full of net losers) receive.

Sorry, I'm not looking for your agreement. Generally, I'm just looking to ridicule you.

Just pointing out that the people of Red States get billions of federal free shit and the people of Illinois get minus federal free shit.

You can't dispute that, can you?

Hell, Kevin and the people on the south side of Chicago get billions of free shit.  What's your point.  Do you like free shit or not?

Oh, the solution is easy:

TENNESSEE SHOULD LIVE WITHIN ITS MEANS WITHOUT RELYING ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

If poor Tennesseans are causing all of the extra federal costs, Tennessee should increase tax credits for the poor, increase their educational opportunities, raise the minimum wage, and so on. If that means spending less on Tennessee infrastructure or other costs, or raising taxes on other citizens, so be it.

I'm thinking that the state of Tennessee is a victim of the cycle of dependency, and failing to raise their citizens out of poverty is the result. And then they use poverty as an excuse to ask for more money from the federal government. Isn't that typical?

No Red State Bailouts!

I finally agree with Mister Picture.  All people should live within their means, and Kevin and others should not get any free shit...........regardless of their state of residence.

Why do you keep saying that I in particular get free shit? Everybody does, and you much more than most.

It sure costs me lots of tax money to get all my free shit.

It's a good deal for you; you get back far more than you pay in, and you always have. I've told you several times, in great detail, how that works, so I'm not going to discuss it again.
