Ultimatum

You guys really had to push me to this? Here's the way it's gonna be. From this second forward, everyone is on notice. I don't have the time and I need my staff for more important things than policing a bunch of 60-year-old 12-year-olds. So I invite all of you, and I don't mean just Kevin and David, to send me a direct email to [email protected] every time you think someone is using excessively vulgar language, being hostile or threatening, stalking, bullying, or is otherwise too far out of line (because almost everything in the Sink is out of line to some degree). I will decide who is and isn't and offenders, including whiners who complain too much for no reason, will be banned. Probably for a week to start, then for good. There will be no strike three. Keep in mind that you've chosen to go into the Sink, so I don't have a lot of sympathy for you or your hurt feelings. But there are limits. The rules are stated pretty clearly here. Let's see who can control themselves the longest.

I try to keep it inside the Sink. A lot of folks here don't try at all. There's a lot of stalking behavior wherein certain people pursue vendettas and make posts on the other forums, the sole purpose of which is to contradict or gainsay the person they are stalking. There's also a lot of "Sink" behavior outside the Sink, and I'm not entirely innocent of that, though as I said, I do try. I wish certain others would.

I don't advocate for the removal of those or any other persons, though--even though they may constantly scream and bleat to remove me. And I'm well aware that virtually all of that screaming and bleating comes from people who don't like my political views. There's a certain contingent in this country, all too well represented here, that thinks that reality and truth are subjective concepts. I tend to call them out. Probably quixotic at best.

I doubt that any of the above-referenced persons would ever admit their culpability in the present mess, so let's not even go there. But I WOULD like to see some policing of crap like "Kevin doesn't go to Vegas," "tom's" idiotic, gratuitous, false, and pointless "reply" to one of my posts in a non-Sink forum. He's one of my stalkers.

I'll probably be posting a lot less in the future anyway, granting my Trumper enemies fulfillment of their fondest, most gushing wet dreams.

Zero chance Kevin will post less.  He has nothing else to do.  He lives on this forum.

     Nothing will change what has been said and transpired prior to today here in the Forums. I think that it would be nice if from this day forward that  ALL could and would be civil with one another.

David, let me know when his posting lessens.  I'm being completely civil when I state this.  It just simply isn't going to happen.  

It is indeed your wet dream, Jerry. And as for your being "completely civil"--when is that going to start? Because your last four or five posts have been gratuitous personal attacks.

I agree completely. But that should extend to not just being civil with one another, but to the population at large--people who have different opinions than you aren't "destroying America," people who say that Biden won the 2020 election aren't LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS, etc. etc. etc. (And praising Trump is a special kind of uncivility.)

Of course, I do realize the obvious--that many, if not most of your posts over the last few years have been for the primary purpose of starting arguments. I know that because of the a) absurdity and b) artificiality of your stated positions. And that's fine! Whatever gets you off. But perhaps you should be aware that spreading patently obvious lies (obvious, even to you) and calling everyone who disagrees with you names isn't exactly a way to promote civility.

I know you'll respond with some self-justifying diatribe, but I'm done with this discussion, and we'll see how sincere your desire for civility really is.
