Unforced errors: Trump is digging his own grave

I have just learned that Trump is releasing his transcript with the Ukraine, and it's certain to prove a bunch of Lyin' Libs.

Is he going to release the transcript for all eight calls or just one? The Whistleblower is arranging to meet with Congress as we speak.

Also, will the transcripts be complete, or will they be redacted, like the Nixon tapes?

Boilerboob characterizes the investigation as liberal lies. it wasn't "the liberals" who said this had happened. It was a single whistleblower. Also, since Giuliani as well as several Ukrainian officials confirmed that the conversations did indeed take place, they must be "lyin' Libs" too! In fact, Trump recently admitted having the conversations--so he must be a "lyin' Lib" as well!

I'll ask again why Boilerbaby is incapable of spelling out "liberal"--maybe he thinks that the shorter nickname is somehow demeaning. I could be as clever as him and refer to the other side as "cons," but that's too much of a cheap shot.

Trump's staff of loyal lackeys is no doubt feverishly working to craft a redacted version of the transcripts and will destroy the recordings ("accidentally") as soon as they're finished.

We don't really need the transcripts, though--we already know what the conversations were about. Giuliani already admitted it. So did Trump, for that matter. We also have his freezing of aid and loan guarantees just before the conversations took place.

The president talks to leaders of other countries. Those leaders will stop talking to the president - any president - if they know a partisan congress will move to impeach the president unless he reveals the contents of candid conversations.

Certain kinds of conversations by the president with leaders of other countries are against the law. That includes threatening to withhold a billion dollars in taxpayer money unless the country being talked to/threatened initiates an investigation into a political opponent of the president. Taxpayer funds are not intended to be used by the president for personal/political purposes.

Really, why are you Trumpers defending him? Would you have defended Obama if he used foreign aid as a stick to get another country to investigate Mitt Romney?

Kevin says-"Certain kinds of conversations by the president with leaders of other countries are against the law"----- Is that right? This statement is laughable, at best.

There was no threat to withhold any money.

Tom is so blinded by his partisanship he can't see obvious truths. The aid was already being withheld. A quid pro quo was asked for.

Laughable? If a President commits treason, that's not illegal? Attempts to conspire with leaders of a foreign country to attack a foreign country? That's not illegal? Bribery and extortion? Perfectly OK?

You may think Trump is above the law. He isn't.
