US industry begs government to expedite work permits for immigrants

Hotels are begging to get those unskilled workers Tom says are unemployable

"We're working with the governor [Pritzker] and with leaders across the U.S. trying to get immigrants visas so we can put them to work," Illinois Restaurant Association president Sam Toia tells Axios.

Restaurant industry begs government for faster work permits

“We would welcome the opportunity to hire from this pool of people if they were able to get working papers, but that’s so hard to do, and the wait is so long,” said Melissa Fleischut, president and CEO of the New York State Restaurant Association

Farmers beg government to get immigrants working permits.

Farmers across the U.S. are joining a push for national immigration reform that they say could ease labor shortages and lower food prices as surging production costs continue to rock the agriculture industry.

Red State governors beg FEDS to increase immigration to fill labor shortages

“It’s kind of a misconception that only certain types of industries are utilizing employment-based visas — like for farm workers or for agriculture. It really is across the board,” El-Deiry said. “It’s not a narrow type of worker that we’re looking at for employment-based programs. It’s both skilled and unskilled labor. It’s those that are filling essential roles or essential jobs within within our state’s economy.”

Actually he's says the oppositte.  And here he is on tape.

Mayor Adams wants more work permits for immigrants

Ya See, unlike deadbeat David Miller immigrants actually want to work and not  live off other peoples' money.   thats one of many reasons they are of superior moral fiber compared to David.

Bullshit - here is what he has said about the current crisis, Read the article and get educated about the reality of brain dead Biden's border policy -- CBS MORNINGS Mayor Eric Adams: Migrant crisis in New York City is a "national issue" --- https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mayor-eric-adams-migrant-crisis-in-new-york-city-is-a-national-issue/

The mayor may want to score points. The businesses that actually want to hire these people aren't interested in making political hay.

NYC has 13,000 restaurant openings & as similiar number of hotel openings.  Not all of them are for dishwashers & busboys.  The others require at least expertise in English.  In any case these openings are far less than the 100,000 (with more than a thousand coming in every week) presently in the city.  Plus there are no farms in NYC.

The number of potential openings pj is talking about is far less than the 6m+ and growing influx of people.  So we are back to the original problem is a lack of resources to sustain.  The government paying billions to millions of people to produce nothing is a recipe for an economic disaster.

Take a visit to your local Amazon and Wal*Mart disribution center and see how many immigrants they are hiring.    In any event - you lied about them not being able to work.  Your own local business leaders agree.

And You cant applaud Governor Abbott for busing immigrants to NYC while simultaneously complaining about the inability to process them.     Immigrants in NYC dont have to stay there.  Once they get working permits they can go wherver they want.  Thats why the people who have already received permits have done that very thing.

Why on God's green earth would you be for slowing down that process of getting them into the workforce?      And why would you lie about our industry's desire to put them to work?  I mean unless you have some kind of prejudice towards them.

By the way Walmart is not allowed in NYC. Of all the jobs you

have posted I doubt there are 500.000 openings nationwide. We have 6m+
people and growing.

One more time for slow pj - there aren't enough jobs, so these

people are dependent on the government who doesn't have

eniugh resources.

How many of these people are oj & the rest of the liberal crowd

here are housing?

Another question, why doesn't Mexico take them in?

Here's another fun fact and something that disproves Tom's lies.   Venezeulain immigrants

are mostly  skilled workers.   In fact most of them are college educated.     So Tom is full of shit about that too.

Venezeula Immigrant population

"Venezuelan adults have higher rates of educational attainment than both the native- and overall foreign-born populations. In 2021, approximately 57 percent of Venezuelan immigrants ages 25 and older reported having a bachelor’s degree or higher, compared to 35 percent of U.S.-born and 34 percent of immigrant adults. The share of Venezuelan immigrants with a college degree is even higher among those who arrived between 2017 and 2021: 62 percent."

I support  putting them to work.   Tom doesn't...and then complains about how they aren't working.     I cant help him with that beyond pointing to his own self-defeating criticism.
