In Chicago, it went down 14.66%. Funny, that's not the impression one would have gotten here from some folks.

Well, things are better here in Portland, too--we filled in the thousand-foot-deep radioactive crater from the BLM "riots" and buried the 400,000 people who were killed when the Proud Boys started a dumpster fire.

Using the same web site, one can easily see that 2021 had the worst murder rate in 22 years and the 2022 estimate is the worst in 22 years with the exception of 2021 and 2020.  So if democrats think that two of the worst murder rates in over two decades is something to crow about they're not really paying attention.  Or maybe just spinning a statistic that's really bad to make it look really good.  Obviously fooled their base pretty easily.

Only idiot conservitards, attempting to flaunt their gang's image as Da Party of Law an' Order, flog that nonsense that violent crime rates have anything to do with political affiliation in a given area. If anything, there's a mild statistical indication that it's safer to live in a Democratic area.

The main determining factor, of course, is population density. More human interactions means more crime. And big cities, more often than not, tend to elect Democrats. The two factors aren't related, though shallow-thinking conservitards like to think/say so.

To put it another way, big cities have more Chinese restaurants than suburban and rural areas. They also have more crime. Therefore, all we need to do to bring down the crime rate is to burn down all the Chinese restaurants!

Let me ask you this: if the murder rate had risen in 2022, would Mother Tucker and all the other conservitard talking heads be saying, "Well, it's one data point, as doesn't mean much by itself," or would they be running around in circles, squawking and flapping their arms like chickens?

I don't watch Tucker Carlson or Fox News despite you constantly thinking I do.
